i think that the higher system of education can become world class only and only when our grass root level/system improves. Therefore we must concentrate on school education system to be excellent. For this the curriculum should be developed keeping the modern day society in view. The world is changing so fast and for progress we must move with the time. Our present system of school education needs to be totally reformed. There is no failure till 8th and hence we produce very low quality stuff.

QUOTA SYSTEM MUST BE IMMEDIATELY ABOLISHED. Until students are not allowed admission based solely on merit, there will be no substantial improvement in university and college standards. Nowadays it is students of General quota who are left behind undeserving students that sail through because of low cutoffs thanks to the age old and completely useless quota system.

Instead of setting up new IITs, IIMs and AIIMs, the current institutes should be pushed to raise their standards and compete with foreign universities. Follow similar syllabus, universal grading system, FOUR YEAR PROGRAMS, revised medical/engineering degree programs. There are many reasons why our institutes do not even rank in the top 100 lists, and those should be looked over by the government instead of wasting money on setting up new institutes with the same, low standards.

Teams should be set up to visit colleges in each city of every state to inspect proper implementation of UGC guidelines, faculty requirements, syllabus, accreditation, student:teacher ratio etc. to avoid degrading qualities of universities that operate on a 'Paisa Do Degree Lo' basis. Private universities and their impossible tuition fees must be battled with set limits.

Syllabus should be revised for more emphasis on practical, applied knowledge instead of mindless rote. Students should be encourage to conduct independent research activities, projects and could receive funding for startup projects. Indian universities must adopt international standards for better operating procedures - maybe then students won't run away to North America and Europe for their higher education.

There should be uniform policy of syllabus in all universities across all over India. There should be check on private colleges or unaided/aided colleges by the team for providing proper infrastructure and labs and recruitment of qualified teachers. There should be audit of each thing in these public or private universities and its affiliated colleges. There should not be affiliation/acreditation of the college which is not following the norms of higher education.

Faculty does not getting the salary according to thier potential than why they imphasiaze on quality of education which produces weak students and they does not accept by the industries/ employeers. Gov must create a body which can check on those institutions who are only the shop of educational degrees. The UGC NAAC bodies are giving the affiliation/ accreditation to these universities due to corruption. After all who will hear the plea of my kind of people. Who want to sustain the quality ed

Foreighn students must be allowed to take admission in all educational institutions in all states especially in self financing institutions thus making India a global educational hub. This would help our students also by way of interaction with foreingn students etc.

this point should be considered by the gov universities/ institutes only. Please do not give the MOU between private universities because from past few years the mushrooming of private universities only producing the fake degrees and weak students. This moov of gov declining the level of education in india. There is no check on private universities by gov bodies which not only decrease the standard but creating the slave concept for faculty members.

This is one of the reasons why our colleges and institutions are not among the top institutions in the world. Only a handful of colleges offer the opportunity to interact/ research/ study on a global basis. Today in the age of internet this can be easily solved if proper attention is paid on this. This should not be limited to NITs and IITs only, students in Centrally and State funded colleges should also be given this opportunity.
