The draft accessibility standards for the product sector should emphasize Universal Design, mandatory user testing with diverse users, clear definitions and consistency with international standards, and a well-defined enforcement and user feedback mechanism. Key suggestions include incorporating guidelines for digital and tactile features, promoting affordability through government incentives, creating a simple rating system for accessibility, and integrating emerging technologies like AI and IoT.
