Continuing comments on draft for transport standards for accessibility, For air transport, page 19,AO3,where mandatory requirement for ambulift, aerobridge and towable ramp is described, I want to add following two points (1) From my innumerable trials of aerobridge s,on both national and international carriers, I notice the final entry point from aerobridge to plane gate, there is a height difference of 5 to 6 inches, which is negotiated invariably by lifting the aisle wheelchair mannualy by two portors, causing tension, jerk and avoidable anxiety to passengers like me in the aisle wheelchair.
