Completely remove tax on the income of senior citizens who are surviving with the income from interest on deposits with baks and PO'S which are already tax paid amounts.Consider deposits made before retirement or before 60 years of age and it's renewels only.

Dear PM/FM, all these posts by the common man indicate one thing that the salaried middle class is struggling to make their ends meet. With a view to expand the tax base & tax mop up year after year, this class has been totally ignored. You have very smartly come up with a new income tax regime which we can't switch to as it would lead to more struggle for us due to even higher tax outgo. We understand that u wish to do away with all exemptions & deductions going forward which is OK with us. Rationalize the old tax regime itself for all and remove the new tax regime.

*Limit section 281 applicability to txns of more than Rs 1 crore only.*
Section 281 of the Income Tax Act, allows any transfer of assets including shares of companies to be treated as void as against any claim in respect of any tax. Subclause (2) of this section makes the section applicable when the assets transferred exceed Rs 10000 in value. This threshold has become too low with time.
It is causing undue hardship in ease of investments by creating uncertainty regarding finality of the transactions of transfer of private shares. To overcome the uncertainty, parties engaged in purchase of unlisted shares insist upon the sellers providing their entire tax records to the purchaser in order to convince the purchaser that the likelihood of s. 281 being applicable is negligible.
Please abolish it or limit its applicability only to txns of more than Rs.1 crore so that only large txns are within the purview of this section.
This suggestion is personal.
yours humbly -Sagar Godbole

Ideas for Budget 22-23
A developing nation can only become a developed nation if the ideas and research prosper and be implemented in our nation itself.
So to give a pending boost to research in the top premiere institute the government should atleast make the remuneration for Research equivalent to Industrial standards.
Kindly focus on the research this budget so that we have to import less and become a major exporter to the world.
