*The Role of AI in a Viksit Bharat by 2047* *Introduction: Framing 2047 as a Technological Inflection Point* The ambition of *“Viksit Bharat @2047”* is not merely to become a high-income economy, but to achieve a state of human development where every citizen has access to quality health, education, livelihood, and governance. With 100 years of independence in 2047, India has roughly two decades to close developmental gaps that took developed nations a century. In this compressed timeline, *Artificial Intelligence* emerges as the defining general-purpose technology. AI is not just automation. It is an epistemic infrastructure — a system for generating insights from data at scale, optimizing complex systems, and personalizing public goods. For a polity as large, heterogeneous, and resource-constrained as India, AI offers the possibility of “non-linear” development. The central question for post-graduate analysis is: how can AI be governed and deployed to maximize inclusive

*The Role of AI in a Viksit Bharat by 2047* As India approaches the centenary of its independence in 2047, the national vision of *“Viksit Bharat”* outlines the transformation of India into a developed, high-income, technologically sovereign, and socially equitable nation. Achieving this within a compressed timeframe demands a structural shift in productivity, governance, and innovation. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is positioned as the central general-purpose technology to enable this shift. AI, defined as the capability of machines to perform cognitive tasks such as learning, reasoning, and decision-making, offers India a unique opportunity to leapfrog traditional development pathways and address scale, diversity, and resource constraints. *AI as an Enabler of Economic Growth* To attain a $30 trillion economy by 2047, India must sustain an average annual growth rate above 7-8%. AI can contribute an estimated $957 billion to the economy by 2035, according to NASSCOM. In

Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Jai Hind! My name is Zeel Chintankumar Barvaliya, and I am a Class 11 (Commerce) student at P. P. Savani Chaitanya Vindhya School in Surat. Under your leadership, 'Digital India' is making great strides, but as a young citizen, I have a major concern that I would like to bring to your attention. Today, the misuse of Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially 'Deepfake' technology, has increased significantly. This has put the safety and dignity of common people, particularly women, at risk. Incidents of fake videos and financial frauds on social media are becoming a daily occurrence. It is my humble appeal to you that through the medium of 'Mann Ki Baat', you create awareness among the youth and citizens of our country about the dangers of deepfakes. Furthermore, I request the government to enact strict Cyber Laws by amending the IT Act to prevent the misuse of AI, and to introduce mandatory rules for labeling AI-generated content.

Respected Sir, India is proudly building its semiconductor future, but most investments are concentrated in a few states like Gujarat, while states like Karnataka with strong engineering talent are left behind. More concerning is the paradox faced by fresh engineering graduates: every semiconductor company demands "experience," yet none are willing to give freshers their first opportunity to gain it. I humbly request you to speak about creating a National Fresher Apprenticeship Bridge in the semiconductor sector, connecting government-trained VLSI graduates (under schemes like Chips to Startup) directly with companies benefiting from Semicon India incentives. This would truly empower India's Yuva Shakti to build Viksit Bharat's chip future with their own hands. Jai Hind.

Namaste Modiji, my name is Athira Rajeshkumar. I am a young professional from Kerala, and I am one among many children who have grown up witnessing domestic abuse, emotional violence and constant family conflict. I request Hon’ble Prime Minister to speak about children and young adults affected by abusive and toxic family environments. Many families stay together due to social pressure, fear of judgment or financial dependence, while children silently grow up with fear, trauma and mental stress. Domestic abuse is not only physical. Emotional, verbal and psychological abuse can also leave lifelong scars. A peaceful home is every child’s right. We need stronger counselling support, legal guidance, financial assistance and safe independence support for women, children and young adults trapped in such environments. Society’s image of a family should never be protected at the cost of a child’s peace, safety and future.
