My Humble Suggestion to Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Tumakuru district of Karnataka, especially the Koratagere region, is known as an important centre for the cultivation of the rare medicinal plant Baje (Vacha – Acorus calamus / Sweet Flag). This valuable plant is deeply connected with India's Ayurvedic heritage and traditional agricultural wisdom. Tarati village was once especially known for its cultivation. Today, water scarcity, environmental changes and market challenges threaten this rare crop and the livelihoods of its farmers. I humbly request you to highlight such rare medicinal crops through Mann Ki Baat and encourage greater support for their farmers through scientific training, quality planting material, research, value addition, market linkages and conservation initiatives. Protecting Baje means protecting our farmers, biodiversity and India's traditional knowledge for future generations. T. H. Hanumantharaju, Tumakuru

Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand’s extraordinary run ended with a fighting three-game defeat to world No. 1 and defending champions Liu Sheng Shu and Tan Ning of China in the women’s doubles semifinals at the World Championships in New Delhi on Saturday, August 22, as the Indian pair signed off with a maiden bronze medal. India last won a BWF World Championships medal in women’s doubles in 2011, when Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa claimed a bronze in London. India’s hopes in the singles events PV Sindhu and Ayush Shetty both played well even though suffering defeats.

As we know, Teachers are the true architects of society, and they help in nurturing young minds, guide them with knowledge and inspire them to build a better future. A good teacher not only imparts lessons but also helps students discover their potential, shaping them into confident individuals Savitribai Phule was born in 1821, was India’s first female teacher and a pioneer of women’s education. Despite facing caste and gender discrimination during her early education stage, she established a school for girls from marginalised communities in Pune in 1848. Her courage and resilience made her a true reformer who believed education was a right, not a privilege. Famous Quotes of Savitribai Phule : “Sit idle no more. Go get an education.” “We shall overcome, and success will be ours in the future.”

I humbly request Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji to highlight through *Mann Ki Baat* the rare medicinal crop **“Baje” or “Vacha” (Acorus calamus)** traditionally cultivated in Tumakuru district, Karnataka, especially in the Koratagere region. **Tarati village** was once known for Baje cultivation. However, water scarcity, environmental changes, market challenges and other difficulties have affected this traditional crop and its farmers. Highlighting Baje nationally could encourage farmers, inspire youth towards medicinal farming, and help preserve our agricultural heritage. I humbly request greater government support through **incentives, quality planting material, scientific training, processing, market linkages, conservation and research**. Protecting Baje means protecting **farmers’ livelihoods, biodiversity and India’s traditional knowledge for future generations.** **T. H. Hanumantharaju** District General Secretary, Tumakuru District

Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Warm greetings. Through “Mann Ki Baat”, I would like to suggest the inspiring story of Dr. Manoj Kumar, a retired teacher and environmentalist from Hazaribag, Jharkhand. For over 25 years, he has worked voluntarily for tree plantation, biodiversity and bird conservation, and environmental awareness. He and his team have planted and nurtured 8,000+ trees with about a 95% survival rate, including 800+ Peepal and 100+ Kalpavriksha trees. Locally known as “Bargad Baba”, he has transformed neglected public spaces into green areas across several districts of Jharkhand. His unique initiatives—“Har Vivah Ka Madhur Yaadgar” and “Smriti Vriksh”—connect tree plantation with marriages, birthdays and remembrance. His journey beautifully reflects Jan Bhagidari and can inspire citizens nationwide. I humbly request you to consider highlighting his inspiring work in “Mann Ki Baat”. With sincere regards, Abhimanyu Kr. Yadav Hazaribag Jharkhand

Presently there is no single policy is implemented on the ground. Faridabad Sector-86 is experiemcing Broken roads, Sewage water accumulation, Muncipal corporation is corrupt and encouraging Illegal encroachments , making city dirty. BJP GOVT only focussing in free fmdistributiin of food on BPL Families. Increase Middle Class participation in ground level decisions as they are the only one who motivates the lower class to upgrade themselves.
