The Government has reviewed the existing draft National Youth Policy, 2014 and prepared a new draft National Youth Policy (NYP). The draft NYP envisages a ten - year vision for youth development that India seeks to achieve by 2030. It is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and serves to 'unlock the potential of the youth to advance India'.

The draft NYP seek to catalyze widespread action on youth development across five priority areas viz. education; employment & entrepreneurship: youth leadership & development; health, fitness & sports; and social justice. Each priority area is underpinned by the principle of social inclusion keeping in view the interests of the marginalized sections.

The Department of Youth Affairs seek comments/views/suggestions on the draft NYP from all stakeholders.

Please refer to the policy document: Draft National Youth Policy (PDF 1.23 MB)

The last date to share your ideas and suggestions is 15th July, 2022.

We know that education and career is very important in our lives. But at the same time it’s essential to teach how to serve the community and the nation. Around 40 per cent of the total population in India is in between the age of 14 -35. Let them choose what they want to do. Parents try to support them. They need to be given proper career counseling while pursuing higher education. Now a day the social media plays a great role in building career in their lives. Many people will benefit if they use these social media as we want.

Sir, can something be done in this regard that, a teenager boy/say a person above 18 will only be given a driving license if his elder sister has got a driving license. This will promote the inclusion of Women in having a driving license atleast a 2 wheeler every other thing will be same as the current RTO rules. If her license is canceled due to some wrong behavior or disrespecting traffic laws then that's okay then also the brother will be given the license only the first time registry of license is must which should be permanent one not learning one. This seems difficult but it's practical and not impossible.Just Govt. will have to impose it from some particular year say 2023 etc. Also if the woman is younger than her brother then that person will have to pass the learning and permanent license test within 5 years of having her brother's first driving license. Now whether she rides vehicle/become fool by missing the opportunity will be her decision but atleast woman will acquire them.
