Notwithstanding the current challenges, Indian steel industry has significant potential for growth The per capita steel consumption in India at 61 kg is much lower than the global ...
Honb. PM sir, there is another sector by which we can increase steel demand. In all our household furniture or that in offices,we use wooden products. But these items can also be made of steel like steel beds, steel chairs, steel tables everything.if we can replace the wooden products with those of steel then the demand for steel can increase. We can impose heavy taxation on sale of wooden furniture to encourage people towards using steel products as alternative. It accounts for all 125 cr people.
I think we should give them cng by pipe line for their furnaces by this the malting cost of steel will be very low and than we can beat chaina also
There is steel demand in India but not utilising proper ratio so bridges and flyovers are collapsing.
Mainly extraction of steel is necessary it require coal.our best quality coal is exporting and importing low quality. How it can process right product,it need strong policies.
Construction industry is one of the biggest users of steel. But multiple regulations and red tapes have stymied growth of building industry where introducing hurdles is the norm.If only the entire land holding of the country could be digitised with the land data being accessible at the click of a mouse, then people would invest in houses (land prices will fall and more after demonetisation) where steel would be used and indirectly open up employment generation. Bank loans should be made easier.
Any increase in steel consumption should not be targeted to increase employment and sustaining capacity. It should be used for long term national building. Cement and steel coexist in construction. Both industry are strained due to overcapacity and low commodity price. I strongly feel we should encourage concrete roads where heavy steel rods are used and life of road are extended. With more focus in road development by this government, steel consumption will boost. It will also reduce bitumen
There is research work needed to find a suitable substance which can be used with steel in commercial works which may or may not act as steel's replacement in future. This will make sure that steel is diverted to more important areas of need like defense and shipbuilding while others will be using the 'replacement' material. This material must have close resemblance to steel in terms of strength, flexibility, versatility and such so that is acceptable in industry.
There should be monitoring of steel supply and usage in industries so that there is minimal loss of reusable steel. Reusing can bring the steel demand and supply margins close just like it happens with any other reusable commodity.
Metro's are built with steel frame in other countries whereas India uses concrete metro's. Why cant we switch to steel metro's. That way metro construction becomes faster & also Steel demand increases.
Dear Sir
I suggest...
1. as a alternative to the steel Bamboo fiber, glass-fibre-reinforced polymers can be used
2. Re cycling of unused and waste automobiles and industries
3. Unused only-Collection and reinforcement of steel from various Govt. sectors like railway, etc.,
We have to create steel consumption/demand by nature of uses in our country. The same method can apply for other countries. Every market need to reduce manufacturing cost of any product for his better market. The manufacturing cost can be reduce by two simple ways 1, For optimum result of machine 2, Better use of human skills. We have to give attention for R&D in this for better quality & reducing cost of material by using alternate cost effective chemicals, process, & machines.
