Kalyan-Dombivli has been short-listed as one of the 100 cities in India to be developed as a SMART City under the SMART Cities Mission. Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) is in the process of preparing a Smart City Proposal to compete in the nation-wide Smart City Challenge. Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation seeks the valuable inputs of the citizens to assist in the preparation of smart city vision. We request you to share your thoughts and aspirations on this discussion forum. The needs, aspirations and dreams of the citizens are to be articulated through the SMART CITY vision. KDMC is looking for active participation of the citizens to understand their likes and dislikes about the city, the city features to leverage for smart city development, and thoughts for optimum utilization of the city resources. The suggestions are welcomed on various smart solutions for urban services like water supply, sewerage, solid waste management; aesthetics, transport, health, e-governance and IT interventions.

We need world class roads, schools, hospital, infrastructure, redevelop ment of old areas, world class recreation facility's and comfortable commuting ways.its one of da laid back areas of the country and is quite rural in nature teeming with millions of bright people. Needs a push to bring people to the center stage of this initiative to make it successful.

Respected Pm, The smart city in kalyan-dobivli is good but the makers should think of the older peoples.I travel in train I see people suffering to climb up steps to get on the other side so they take shortcuts.Our railway network is the largest in the world.If the smart city make can take care of that it might b a great thing. Thank u sir for starting this where we can participate for a good cause of our country.

ban people burning dried leaves,plastic,papers,etc in morning..use of eco friendly vehicle,solar light,excellent quality of concrete roads,punishment for spiting on roads and near buildings... no horn zone near School,Hospital,etc in kalyan east and west,save rainwater,garden,planting trees roadside,excellent water treatment, educating family,societ about global warming,eco friendl things like vechicle,LED,etc,traffic signal system in kalyan east,west,ban unauthorize shop,auto rickshaw,etc

SATIS nr Station like Thane; Cleanliness nr Santosh hotel: Govindwadi bypass opening; flyovers from MIDC dombivili to Kongaon over sea; Patripul to Murbad rd bypassing station, Solar lighting ;Water Recycling; Waste segregation; Patripul to Dombivili east via Thakurli & Ganpati Mandir; Parallel flyover to Rly track upto Thane

city should have open spaces kept for sports & recreational facilities which will help kids & youngsters also for senior citizens congestion free roads & also good connectivity with other majoe locations like Thane / Navi Mumbai which is a major problem right now

to solve traffic congestion problem... we need to introduced 'reward system " one who obey traffic signal traffic rule get reward point automatically...that they use to purchase app ,unlocking new level, for online purchase. to use as fee for government works...vehicle puc.. in petrol and disel purchase #smartcity #my gov #yogesh #traffic

For Kalyan Dombivli Smart City Built Environmennt and Risk Assessment of buildings in City is necessary which is voilated at every step by KDMC Administrators handling Town Planning. Cityspread Encroachments bringing Life Safety of Occupants in Buildings at DANGER. Citizens, Polotical Representatives and City Aadministrators are equally responsible. Therefore, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code shall be used by Civil Defence to verify Architectural Designs of Buildings before approval.

Create a single location for all street side hawkers for decongesting the roads. Ban use of plastic bags and promote use of khadi bags to make it clean and green city. Strict traffic rules. Regulate auto rickshaws and make them disciplined. Fine anyone who spits on public place. To make any place a better city one need not reinvent the wheel, just try to implement good practices in major cities in world like Singapore, Copenhagen etc. Educated administration and citizen can make it possible.

Kopar station is the start of kalyan / Dombivali and its has tremendous power to grow.Also the connectivity (western/central/Harbour) kopar station has no other station does.
