Kalyan-Dombivli - Smart City for All

Start Date :
Sep 21, 2015
Last Date :
Dec 05, 2015
00:00 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
Kalyan-Dombivli has been short-listed as one of the 100 cities in India to be developed as a SMART City under the SMART Cities Mission. Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) ...
At the begining by mistake I said start using plastic bags.Actualy I want to say stop using plastic carry bags.Vengurla municiple corporation got award for cleanliness, What they did first is (people in vengurla) stop using carry bags.
avoid eating on roads
6)Railway Platform N0 4 & 5 is the worst for poor people as they are standing in queues
for long route train.I am in kalyan from my birth (for 43 years) but railway could not think of Toilets at the end of platform 4 & 5. We are talking about swachchha bharat , We could not provide basic need (spacialy to woman).
HAWKERS.Government should appeal to people by providing boards not to purchase from hawkers
For hawkers saparate zone should be craeted.
Which will automaticaly clear the roads sky walk.
4) People should stop using four wheelers in kalyan city spacialy in crowded areas such as shivaji chawk Tilak chawk Sahajanand chawk.
5) We should stop blaming municiple corporation for uncleanliness People should try to see
that they should not create garbage on roads they should use dustbin Try to
Thank you for selecting kalyan dombivli for one of the smart city in India
I will like to take initiative from people first instead of suggesting ideas to government.
1) First people should start using plastic bags.I have avoiding (not 100%) for last 1 year
2) Instaed of blaming RTO police people should follow rules, for example we should get auto from que only (appeal should be made to people by hoardings.
3)We shold not blam KDMC RAILWAY POLICE for hawkers. We should stop purchasing from
1) Pothholeless roads is a must .
2) Gardens and playing area for children and old people as well as other people to relax .
3) Kalyan has no attractions other than Durgadi kila which frankly speaking is in ruins .therefore it needs more place of attraction as most of the people in kalyan are middle class working people .
4) Autorikshas charging by meter .
5) Place to park vehicals in Shivaji chowk .
6) More street lights .
7) The area on the outskirts of kala talav is stinky.
KALYAN EAST ( Around 400000 people live here)doesn't have single playground or garden. My childhood has gone without a playground.I want this to be taken care of.
2)
The pune link road widening work was started and it has been completed also but it is used for parking of vehicles. The traffic is as it is.The authority has not demolished some structures on pune link roads due to which it is extremely narrow at some point eg.Katemanevali junction.I can say the junction is extremely dangerous.
2) The errant autorickshaw drivers drive madly at this junction posing a life threat to many commuters.
3) the brigde is very badly designed and built as you can see.
Regarding Roads,
1) The flyover bridge at katemanevali naka must be destroyed because it has made the life of commuters a threat. It is like a war to cross the katemanevali junction. Before this bridge there was more smooth flow of traffic but this bridge has made our life horrible.
2) The road towards kalyan stn(e) from katemanevali naka is so narrow and there is so huge traffic at peak hours.People rush is very heavy.
3) The footpaths are occupied by hawkers and people are forced to walkon rd
According to Me a Smart City should be a Balance between Ecology as well as Humanity. Considering the Global Warming Challenge in front of us we the citizens of KDMC rather all India should be constructing such kind of Smart cities which would be least pollutive and more usage of Solar and electricity..If our leaders build All the Smart cicties keeping the above things into consideration India would be a one of the finest Place to leave & Of course KDMC.
Thank you for selecting to make Kalyan Dombivli as SMART CITY.
Suggestions:
- FOOTPATH - Already KDMC made beautiful footpaths(70%)in Dombivli(E)
but footpaths are occupied by mostly shop owners, vehicle owners(for parking)
and hawkers(veg.sellers).
Remove all of them. Put barricades between footpath and road so that people can walk on the footpath freely and they should cross the road where zebra crossings are made.
Remove the sands and stones on the side of the road. Keep road clean.
