Kalyan-Dombivli has been short-listed as one of the 100 cities in India to be developed as a SMART City under the SMART Cities Mission. Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) is in the process of preparing a Smart City Proposal to compete in the nation-wide Smart City Challenge. Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation seeks the valuable inputs of the citizens to assist in the preparation of smart city vision. We request you to share your thoughts and aspirations on this discussion forum. The needs, aspirations and dreams of the citizens are to be articulated through the SMART CITY vision. KDMC is looking for active participation of the citizens to understand their likes and dislikes about the city, the city features to leverage for smart city development, and thoughts for optimum utilization of the city resources. The suggestions are welcomed on various smart solutions for urban services like water supply, sewerage, solid waste management; aesthetics, transport, health, e-governance and IT interventions.

1. Require parallel Metro line from Kalyan-Dombivili to CST and Kalyan-Dombivili to New Mumbai. 2. 24 hour Water supply to Residential areas of Kalyan - Dombivili 3. Proper parking space at Dombivili-East 4. Road Widening 5. Sky walk at Dombvilivili East(CST End) 6. Run Rickshaw through meter even at after 11 PM from Dombivili station 7. More free space for commuters around Dombivili East railway station 8. More Local trains from Dombivili Stations in the peak hours 9. Drainage system

Thankyou first for chosin K.D.M.C for smart city programme. The major problems affecting these areas are mainly- 1. Wide roads 2. Safe skywards and escalator. 3. Good public transport that is buses within the municipal area and outside the city. 4. Good colleges in the city so that the children do not have to put in long hours of commute to attend good colleges. 5. Good sports and recreational facilities. 6. Good sanitation and waste disposal system. 7. Clean public toilets.

1.A flyover or Bridge should be built from Durgadi Fort to Bhiwandi to reduce the heavy traffic . 2.Cameras to be installed considering the growing theft. 3.Railways and Public mode of transport should have WiFi and GPS. 4.Traffic signals along with cameras that can capture vehicles breaking the laws . 5.Parking place to be built near Kalyan and Dombivli station

Provide separate kacharaa kundi for "Olaa kacharaa" and "sukaa kacharaa" Keep proper height of Kachara Kundi. Provide Garden in Maanda Titwala. Provide post office in Manda East Area Very Important:- PLEASE GIVE REPLY TO EVERY SUGGESTION WRITER WITHOUT FAIL

Provide dispensary at Manda Ease area Provide Hospital Manda East Provide footpath for every road in Manda Titwala Provide smashanbhumi for little children Provide Bus service in Manda Titwala on every road of it provide proper Rikshaw and Taangaa stand near rlwy station and mandir area

My Suggession For smart City is...... 1) Provide Street Light With Solar Energy 2) Wide Road With Foothpath and With green plant In devider(To reduce Carbon) 3) Foothpath Only for People where people can walk .... i see in Kalyan East most of People Do business in Foothpath So unable to walk Their 4) BUS Service Linked With Railway So people Can Go Directly with Bus at lower cost 5) Direct Bridge Linked With EAST and WEST 6) BIG parks For Children and Old people 7) Compul Solar energy

First I offer thanks to Government for action of making KDMC as Smart City. The most important problem in KDMC is traffic, illegal construction, crowded railway station area, no traffic signal, auto rickshaws without meter, narrow road, illegal hawkers etc. For making smart city the problem of road traffic require to improve by constructing fly over, bridges, sub ways etc. & legally vehicle parking space is required.

First put banners for reserved land for Nana-Nani park, Hospital, Dispensary, Sports ground,alongwith picture of map on the banner and fix near the reserved land in Manda Titwala area. complete Railway overhead bridge near Ambivli Railway Fatak. start new overhead railway bridge for vehicles near Titwala Fatak. Provide Firebrigade station at Manda Titwala provide wood material or diesel shav dahini at Manda. Improve roads of Manda Titwala,remove garbage keep Manda Titwala clean daily
