To have a liveable Smart City Plan for Kohima, every Stakeholder and Citizen of Kohima is now invited to contribute valuable ideas towards the building of Kohima Smart City. Our Smart City Proposal is to compete with the rest of the 100 cities of the nation to be developed under the Smart City Mission. In this second phase of Inter-State Competitions, let us jointly contribute and triumph together to live a decent life in harmony.

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Please share your ideas to make Kohima – a liveable Smart City.

The last date to submit your suggestions/ comments is 15th November, 2015.

Old MLA hostel and the old Secretariat stretch can be converted into 3 multi-purpose halls with parking lots. The parking lots should be designed to accommodate at least 3000 cars. Trees can be planted surrounding the entire stretch to make it look less industrious.

I would rather plant thousands of trees than cutting them and building buildings, and roads.
I would rather live in a huge dense forest rather than living in a city where there are lots of waste and pollution. As a humanbeing I would rather protect and give space to our nature and wildlife rather than been so selfish thinking for ourself.

Instead of parking vehicles on the roadside, a functional pay and use parking lot with securities and watchmen, day and night might help in reducing traffic problems.

Recreational parks, malls
Music cafes, State of the art museum
Cleaner roads

This may seem far fetched but with the lack of space in kohima
-cable cars and gondola lift systems as alternatives to roadways
