First and formost.... road. We really need quality roads. Not only for occassion. Underground Parking lots. Drinking water shoud be supply to every colony.
it will better if the solar power is install in every block and every village for green smart city..
1. Construction of proper footpath in the city, If footpaths are good, people will walk and when people walk, traffic on the roads will be less.
2. Proper regular maintenance of the public toilets in the main town as all the public toilets remain unhygienic and dirty and create dreadful smell for the passers.
There should be CCTV camera in every street n colony, n there should be an emergency bell to ring in every colony... for better society..
kohima is a beautiful place with hilly place.. but the Road is pathetic to travel For mainland people.. so there should be a Metro rope way transportation..
*firstly smart & cheap education for all.
*real estate development with solid masterplanning & urban planning i.e green buildings with road attached to every single house & cost effective space utilization, underground storm drainage, compulsory of atleast one solar roof in each and every house to save electricity and government's pocket:),waste management, smart meters to know real time water and electricity usage
*basic infrastructure like hospitals, green parks, old age homes, schools etc. Cont-
*Top notch quality roads with led lights at night for safe driving.
*hi-speed internet to keep kohima citizens connected & to stay upto date with advancing world.
*public friendly government, affordale health care, gender equality.
*signing of mou with countries to promote investment & upgrade state economy.
*promoting entrepreneurship & organising tech festivals every year like the hornbill to promote innovation and creativity.
*inculcating citizen rights & dignity of labour to everyone :)
Our government should look at developing the villages in and around kohima town into satellite towns with a very efficient public transportation system interlinking each town. Developing this villages into urban settlements will help in easing the growing burden of people and ensuring a more distributed population over Kohima rather then only on a concentrated part as it is now. This small cluster of towns can then come together as part of a bigger and smarter kohima city.
8. Enhance public transport system, which will reduce pollution with lesser vehicles, also improves social interaction through this, which is declining with change in lifestyle and technology.
9. Incentivize all the local panchayats in kohima, to enhance and improve sanitation and cleanliness by engaging the people in their locality.
10. CCTVs be connected in strategic places, and street lights all over the nook and corners of kohima.
5 . Good electricity with focus on renewable energy like solar energy which is eco friendly and sustainable.
6. e- governance, which will help in delivering to people with ease; corruption in govt. department will be check and administration enhanced and more efficient.
7. capacity expansion of Kohima Municipal Council for better and effective solid, liquid and waste management(SLWM)
7. High speed internet connectivity and wifi connection in important public places
