Coal available in our country contains unwanted ash and other materials. We incur unnecessary expenditure on transporting ash etc along with coal.Lot of talks were there to wash coal at pithead before transporting them. May be vested interest allow it then. Why not investigate into it since present PM really wants to improve the economy

We must recognize that there are two different sectors of fossil fuels which are currently managed pertaining to coal and petroleum. These two sectors can be merged to allow liquidation of financial resources of the budget to meet the modernization requirements of ailing coal sectors. Allow foreign direct investment in this sector to maximum which will not only bring prosperity but also will show a way of technical expertise of international standard mostly helpful in grade A coal mines.

Firstly India should gradually reduce its dependence on fossil fuels. This might take many years. In the meanwhile the most efficient extraction of coal should be done and for that the mistake done by Congress many decades ago should be undone - Coal Nationalisation. Mining for sale should be opened to private players. There should be a bidding process so that national resources are not sold at dirt cheap prices. Only competition fosters efficiency. Not possible as long as only Coal India exists

Coal is a fossil fuel and too much extraction today will furthur cause it's limited avail. in future. And I also know for today's neccesity it's also imp. Is it possible that we increase public participation by forming new rules like making compulsory installation of Solar Panels at the roof tops at the New Upcoming and Old Townships, new houses etc., compulsing the Water Harvesting in gov. and pvt. institution, houses etc. Maybe these small changes doesn't let that much prod. #MinistryofCoal

process for allotment of coal mines should be transparent

I am consulting engineer in Texas. I have worked with coal mine owners in USA. Using better equipment will help to increase production. I consulted for ALSTOM power plant in Missouri. The world coal association published on Fluidised bed combustion, coal to Syngas etc. I serve as Secretary, Texas Board of Professional Engineers licensing 61000 engineers in Texas.I would be of assistance if contacted. Instead of double coal production at present we can install coal washeries which increases the calorific value of low carbon and high ash content Indian coal. The washery rejects can be utilised in power generation in efficient way TATA has made coal washery in India also Adani has installed Government should promote such projects. Government should focus on hydro power generation more nowas India has immense hydro power generation capacity in its river which is clean

Holistic approach of energy production with coal,petroleum natural ,bio ,solar,tidal,hydro,wind may be united with one ministry of energy. Renewable and non-renewable sources of energy may be united . Cost of sustainable development may be extracted with coal and petroleum sector for fund generation in hydro,wind,solar,tidal,bio,cow dung gas and manure with cow fund.Coal India along with ONGC, IOC, NTPC may be brought under global energy limited of India with global business.
