Online authentication using Aadhaar, which is already being offered as an authentication mechanism by UIDAI, can be made seamless if mobile numbers of individuals are linked to their Aadhaar numbers. This would do away with users providing Aadhaar number for every transaction as their mobile numbers would represent their Aadhaar number.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on the Concept Paper on how mobile phones and Aadhaar could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities.

The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, Use Cases, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, etc.

The last date for submission of your comments is 12th February, 2015.

if mobile is used for authentication only then it is good, which is using right now in the form of OTP. But if we make mobile as digital identity then it simpler to others, they can easily steal your identity and misuse it.

Respected PM Sh. Narendra Modi ji, I regret to write that it’s been a year our state government in Rajasthan and central government both are in power with full majority, but I have seen during this period that no one hears any grievance of a poor, widow, common man and aged person in government department for getting their right.
