Online authentication using Aadhaar, which is already being offered as an authentication mechanism by UIDAI, can be made seamless if mobile numbers of individuals are linked to their Aadhaar numbers. This would do away with users providing Aadhaar number for every transaction as their mobile numbers would represent their Aadhaar number.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on the Concept Paper on how mobile phones and Aadhaar could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities.

The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, Use Cases, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, etc.

The last date for submission of your comments is 12th February, 2015.

I think Indian Government should provide help and motivation to small scale industrialist in India to produce electrical devices like diode, ICs, or chips etc. which will rectify the sovereignty of China in that field and produce more scopes for jobless Youth !!

indian mobile companies should manufacture mobiles in india & govt should provide subsidy on manufacturing & increased import duty on manufactured mobile to balance. none of the indian companies like micromax, lava etc. are manufacturing, they are just putting up their stickers on chinese manufactured mobile phones.

making Mobile as digital identity will not be suitable for Indian population, as Indians are prone towards exciting offers provided by telecom vendors and their Mobile number keep changing frequently. very few people use MNP facility to maintain the cellphone number also, many people use new (temporary number) for one time businesses. So idea is not feasible. And moreover everyone cannot afford to have cellphone in the country.

Sir, there are people who had applied for UID 3 years back, but are yet to get UID aadhar. Uid customer care does not respond. First correct them and then think of implementing the linkges.
