With the GST coming into effect from 1st July, 2017, the biggest indirect tax reform of independent India, is going to transform the way indirect tax is administered in this country, impacting not just businesses but also the common man. GST is a tax on consumption of goods and services, which is levied at all stages right from manufacturing up to final consumption, with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. It is going to remove the tax-on-tax effect through separate Central and State tax laws. In a nutshell, under GST, only value addition will be taxed , hence, reducing the burden of tax to be borne by the final consumer.

The most fundamental change in GST besides the consolidation of multiple taxes, is the use of a robust shared IT infrastructure in its operations. All the forms related to registrations, filing returns and other related activities can now be done through the GSTN Portal.

GST will help build an economically stronger India, with 'One Nation, One Tax, One Market.'

The total operation of GST seems to be harassing the last chain of traders. Why not a system developed to charge and collect all tax at the point of first origin of goods(where they are manufactured and put first time in trade) and the services ?In order to reduce complexity and cost required for collection at so many levels? that was what PM MODI announced before people.he had assured the relief to all dealers from all statements and giving accounts to various officers in the course of business

Dear Sir, I want to only say that after GST we have to pay returns monthly. But our payments from companies or parties are not receiving in a month. So we are finding very difficulty in paying GST monthly. There is my sincere request to you that there should be some law for a company or party to make payment within 30 days. Compulsory 30 days payment will get more convenient for doing business. Especially for middle class or small scale business firms. Please think about it. Many Thanks.

There is possibility of the actual production and reported production deficit for black money creation. For example with the normed raw material, wasted is higher on paper and the actual production is higher. The excess production will be departed in cash to the retailer through stockist creating black money. Another example is in jewellery manufacturer, there is loss of not more than 1.2% but on paper the losses shows 10%. Similar on replacement on old jewellery
