With the GST coming into effect from 1st July, 2017, the biggest indirect tax reform of independent India, is going to transform the way indirect tax is administered in this country, impacting not just businesses but also the common man. GST is a tax on consumption of goods and services, which is levied at all stages right from manufacturing up to final consumption, with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. It is going to remove the tax-on-tax effect through separate Central and State tax laws. In a nutshell, under GST, only value addition will be taxed , hence, reducing the burden of tax to be borne by the final consumer.

The most fundamental change in GST besides the consolidation of multiple taxes, is the use of a robust shared IT infrastructure in its operations. All the forms related to registrations, filing returns and other related activities can now be done through the GSTN Portal.

GST will help build an economically stronger India, with 'One Nation, One Tax, One Market.'

Hi Modi sir,
GST on real estate has become a huge burden on middle class people to buy house.I have booked a home but registration was not yet done. Now, builder is asking me to pay 12% GST + stamp duty + registration charges. Means almost 20% of amount for taxes and 20% of down payment should be made to builder. Means total 40% of property amount should be ready in hand, then only a person can think to own a home.
Sir, please look into this and kindly reduce GST burden on us.

Reliance Jio has recently announced a scheme of giving a phone on returnable deposit. How is GST going to be levied on these products? My suggestion is that GST should be levied on the estimated value of a phone and charged accordingly.

Hello everyone.
My advice for today is about GST on recycled products. Some GST relaxation should be provided for recycled products or for recycling products. This is help in circulation of waste & recycling of waste in huge masses. And thus will also help cleanliness and our environment simultaneously. And will also encourage entrepreneur to come up with new ideas to take benefit of GST relaxation & recycling can also be encouraged in large scale. Will also help abt 3lak people of our country.

Sir,for construction of house a sum of Rs. 2800000 was to paid in four equal installments. Three installments were paid before GST and remaining one is now demanded. Pre-GST my installment to builder was Rs. 742000 in which Rs. 700000 for construction cost plus Rs. 42000 service tax @ 6%.After GST my installment is Rs. 792000 in which construction cost is Rs. 672000 plus Rs. 120000 as GST @ 18%.This is exactly opposite what has been claimed that GST will reduce the cost.

Direct Billing from GST Portal is urgently required to stop the tax evading by Dealers, Companies. We also surprised to see the businessmen are taking benefit of lifting's of state borders. They simply destroy bill after arrival of materials and taxation amount is their full benefit. Now the taxation amount is big and there is only one solution direct billing, waybill from GST Portal.
