With the GST coming into effect from 1st July, 2017, the biggest indirect tax reform of independent India, is going to transform the way indirect tax is administered in this country, impacting not just businesses but also the common man. GST is a tax on consumption of goods and services, which is levied at all stages right from manufacturing up to final consumption, with credit of taxes paid at previous stages available as setoff. It is going to remove the tax-on-tax effect through separate Central and State tax laws. In a nutshell, under GST, only value addition will be taxed , hence, reducing the burden of tax to be borne by the final consumer.

The most fundamental change in GST besides the consolidation of multiple taxes, is the use of a robust shared IT infrastructure in its operations. All the forms related to registrations, filing returns and other related activities can now be done through the GSTN Portal.

GST will help build an economically stronger India, with 'One Nation, One Tax, One Market.'

I would like to thank Narendra Modi for implementing GST. I want to bring to your notice related to direct tax. All employees are paying direct tax from 5% to 30% and also paying indirect tax upto 30%. You all know about indirect tax list, what ever we do need to pay taxes. So all employees are paying taxes around 50% of their salary. I am paying 1 lakh of direct tax every year. Why we need to pay tax again as we are getting income by paying direct tax. Please think of this and remove direct tax

GST implication is a historic achievement & moment for India progression to league of developed nation. However for real estate sector govt. should take effective measures to safeguard the buyers of ongoing and near completion projects which is bound to make them suffer hard (12% GST against 4.5% ST) at the hands of developer. Anti-profiteering and input tax credit measures does not provide much binding on them especially for near completion projects.Request concerned ministry to intervene ASAP.

GST not only Good and Simple Tax, it is also Anti-fraud, Anti-Corruption Tax system. But some confusion here, less then 20Lac and not registration is bad idea. Traders will purchase goods with different name and how to control this i don't know. Education and Health is not under GST so corruption will made easier and not 100% corruption free India without this under GST. If 0% Tax will be implemented in Health and Education then Tax filling should be necessary.

Sir,
We are delivering railway wagons to the Indian Railways through Railway Board contract where in major raw material like steel, wheel-sets and bearings are free supply by the Railways so that we invoice the cost of conversation only.
GST applicable should be 18%, but in absence of clear instructions by the competent authority,we are stopped by the Railways from raising invoices. Our business is halted and we are forced to stop production. Our cash flow is severely affected.
We are stuck.

GST implemented is the great historical economic change of nation, I want to suggest that, the GST system has to given some important or concern about the payment of tax, which is the main purpose of taxation, time given for payment of tax after finalisation of tax amount is only few days,it is very difficult to contact CA who has to handled or managed hundreds of files for prepared challan, make payments etc., it requires more time for revenue as well as public interest, best wishes
