The first and foremost thing to consider is the provision of sanitary landfill for the city in order to manage the garbage generated which is currently handled by the open yard dumping practices, additionally the efficient garbage collection and appropriate management is a must.
An urgent need to efficient public transport shall also be taken into account.

So we r here for the contribution on making patna a smart city,it's good and we can but first of all can we change the thinking of those people who spit out at any places by eating guthaka, paan, etc. Can we change the mentallity of those one who doesn't care for others health as they throw garbage on the road instead of getting it into dustbin, can we stop people pissing off outside the toilets, yes we can but for this first of all we have to improve the thinking of people,so plan for it

Smart city mission is a wonderful initiative. And we should not only focus to infrastructure but to give greater attention towards education. Because I think education is the only mode of becoming smart.

Before we go ahead with the process of creating infrastructure for making patna a smart city, we must take into account the very bad standards of civic sense here and generally in whole of India with the exception of a few states. Popular leaders must go on a serious campaign to install civic sense in the people otherwise any marvelous infrastructure would be reduced to a dustbin. If 1.25 billion Indians decide to throw even a piece of paper, no civic administration in the world can clean it.

State Government has done noting towards the public transport. How we can think for Patna as smart city. There no proper system of Garbage collection in the city. Only Minister/VIP keeps their area clean. They do not think about common man. If visit area around Old secretariat, Rajbhawan, Airport all appears clean. How it happens. Why not entire city look like this. There is no determination to Government to keep city clean and free from encroachment.
