The Policy on Collaborative Application development by Opening the source code of Applications intends to increase the pace of application development and rapid roll out/ implementation by adopting the principles of open-source development model. Government wants to promote reuse of existing developed applications. Successful running applications and new applications are envisaged to be developed within the public domain by opening the application source code and it is also intended to encourage innovation inside and outside Government by encouraging collaborative development to achieve better products in less time.

e-Gov application source open approach—including the use and release of application source to public—can reduce costs, reduce development time, and improve overall quality, including security through increased transparency and mass peer review.

Not able to devlop the city in proper way and even in small project also eating money like anything with local govt. My suggestion is there should be some finance audit is required in each dept. From central govt. Or state govt. On annual basis so we can reduce and stop curroption level. Bcoz my worry is the youth who joining govt. Dept. They also learning same thing.

Mr Prime Minister, Recently I visited One of the village in Bihar. Village name Bhatra Ghat, Block Bisfi, District Mdhubani. The conditions of the villagers are very poor. There are no electricity,No basic medical facilities and poor road connectivity. In night it's difficult to survive. Villagers they contribute money and run generator for 3 hrs in the evening so that basic work can be completed and also kids can study. Would request you to look into this on Priority.

Pornography is corrupting the minds of people who have Mobiles/Laptops. Why can't a GO be brought in to have the ISPs( Internet Service Providers) Block Pornographic Websites for all Internet Users in India? I know there will be resistance from the ISPs themselves. but don't you think it's a good Bold move to restrict. Please think in this direction. ------>

Government can have source code of applications from several open source platforms and also from various public repositories on Github. Also promote the idea of crowd sourcing for development of applications, on which many developers can simultaneously collaborate and work together, this will cut down the cost and time needed for developing applications.
