The Policy on Collaborative Application development by Opening the source code of Applications intends to increase the pace of application development and rapid roll out/ implementation by adopting the principles of open-source development model. Government wants to promote reuse of existing developed applications. Successful running applications and new applications are envisaged to be developed within the public domain by opening the application source code and it is also intended to encourage innovation inside and outside Government by encouraging collaborative development to achieve better products in less time.

e-Gov application source open approach—including the use and release of application source to public—can reduce costs, reduce development time, and improve overall quality, including security through increased transparency and mass peer review.

This nuisance can only be put to rest by arresting the culprits. I was surprised to find out the lack of ideas police personnel had. To arrest these criminals all they have to do is take cue from Hindi movies and make some daring police personnel in casual clothes run around the YSC and I am sure within a week perpetrators would be caught. I must mention couple of days back another colleague of mine was looted on gun point by same goons. continue..

I was really shocked to hear this from the tongue of police personnel. This speaks of the casual attitude of the Delhi Police towards citizens' problems. This speaks a lot about how our police have been left ineffective by bunch of goons. I would go on to say that this makes me believe that gang might be operating in connivance with some cops. I was told patrolling would be increased. I countered this would definitely keep looters away but patrolling can’t be done throughout the years continue..

. I could see they had local made revolver. I tried to note number of motor cycle but number plate was blank. I lodged the complaint with the Vivek Vihar Police Station vide FIR # 0872 dated 17/11/2014. While chatting and discussing my problem with the police personnel in the police station, I was told that a gang of looters/dacoits/trespassers is operating in this area for the last couple of months and they have successfully looted many people at gun point. continue..

Sir, although above experience was definitely a good one but still there are lot of challenges we citizens of India go through on daily basis. I would like to share a story here which is as follows: On 17th November, 2014 early morning around 5:45 AM I was doing my morning walk around Yamuna Spots complex near Vivek Vihar Police Station (East Delhi) . All of a sudden I found four persons, two each on a scooter and a motor cycle surrounded me and looted my gold bracelet. continue...

I tweeted my grievance on Nov 2nd, Sunday around 11:00 AM. And I got the reply in 15 minutes from Mr. R Sawminathan. He not only regretted for the error but ensured that I get new passport with correction within a week without any visit to passport office. I must say our government officials are working round the clock to make life easier for citizens of India and implementing the motto of 24*7 government perfectly. continue..

This made me believe quality control checks are not working before passports are being dispatched to applicants. When I contacted the helpdesk I was informed I will have to visit Passport office in Bhikaji Cama Place, Delhi to get it rectified. I was really disappointed and frustrated that because of no fault of mine now I will have to make several rounds to passport office. Then came the surprise. One of my friends suggested me to report my grievance on twitter handle @CPVIndia. continue...

I am thankful to you Sir! for the recent initiatives taken by you including making government officers work to help the common man in real sense. I had recently applied for renewal of my passport. I was surprised (positive) to receive my passport within 15 days from the day of applying my passport. However, when I received my passport because of the way printing was done it was missing the years of expiry and birth dates. continue....
