“We the People of India” feel proud to be the world’s leading democracy with maximum participation of citizens. With a unique blend of cultural, religious, social-economic and ethnic colours, India stands proud with a 67 years legacy of being a Republic.

Kurukshetra (Haryana) District Administration feels proud to host the State Level Republic Day in the district for 2017. We want to amplify our celebrations by inviting All Indians, across the country and globe, to share with us ‘Republic Day- The One I Attended and Cherish’.

Especially aimed at connecting our elders and children, we invite Sons and Daughters to go to their Grandparents and Parents; Listen from them their Special Participation/Attendance at any year’s Republic Day. Then, share the precious treasure in ‘Republic Day: Walking Down the Memory Lane’ discussion here.

We also invite everyone, across the globe, who has been a proud witness to any of India’s Republic Day and wants to share how they value that moment.
This is an occasion to value our patriotism and love for the country by connecting with each other. Share with us all your memoirs-stories-experiences connected with the Pride of being an Indian!

This is a part of the 15 Days ‘Republic Mela’ गणतन्त्र मेला’ from 11 January to 25 January, 2017. Various Events are being organised with children, youth and senior citizens e.g. Preamble Recitations, Patriotic Song Singing, Republic Day Quiz, Drawing Competition and Fancy Dress Competition. With these, the District Administration Kurukshetra Facebook Page is also running campaign to celebrate Republic Day 2017.

This schedule should be followed- 8 - 10'a.m.- brooming. 10 a.m.- 1 pm. - garbage collection from different areas. 1 - 4 p.m. - garbage should reach for dumping or recycling. Side by side inspectors should inspect wheather the work is being done properly and on time or not.

आदरणीय मोदी जी द्वारा चलाए गए स्वच्छता अभियान में सरकारी कर्मचारीही सहयोग नहीं दे रहे हैं। निजी स्तर पर बहुत से लोग, NGO's काम कर रही हैं लेकिन जिनकी job ही है सफ़ाई करने या करवाने की वो नहीं कर रहे। सड़कों पर झाड़ू लगती है लेकिन कूदा नहीं उठाया जाता,वो वही सड़ता रहता है। मैंने अपने क्षेत्र ( विकास पूरी) के sanitary inspector से कई बार शिकायत व प्रार्थना की, किंतु कोई सुधार नहीं है।

I wishes happy 68 republic day to people of india in advance.. As we(indian) stands 2nd in popultion index worldwide although we are at 66th position in innvotion this seems too bad to hear.. So request our PM Mr. Narendra modi take intiative to create the environment of innovation in india. Arrange the seminar of professor on national channels to inspire the youth of india for invvotion. And also encourage the private mass media to do so..

This Republic Day the Government should make it a point that the kissans of our country should be encouraged to start growing food on cooperative basis.I am sure that they will be successful like Amul Dairy in Gujarati. Another point to be noted is that as there is a shortage of new Rs 500/- and Rs 1000/- currency note in the country, these along with Rs50/- Rs 20/- and Rs 10 and Rs 5/- must be printed in another country on priority basis and should be distributed in our country quickly.

Dear Narenda Sir, Can we expect any strict decision against Pakistan on this Republic Day as we are fedup to listen the loss of Indian soldiers since very long... And we selected BJP government mainly for this reason.
