Ministry of Power has identified few key amendments in the Electricity Act 2003 to address immediate requirements of the electricity sector. Accordingly, draft proposal has been ...
The Union power ministry has come out with fourth draft of the Electricity (Amendment) Bill since 2014, which seeks to set up an Electricity Contract Enforcement Authority (ECEA) having power of a civil court to settle disputes related to power purchase agreement between discoms and gencos. The draft provides that the ECEA will have sole authority to adjudicate matters related to specific performance of contracts related to purchase or sale of power.
The power ministry also circulated a draft Electricity Amendment Bill 2020 on April 17, 2020. ... After the Bill is passed, farmers will have to pay a monthly power tariff of Rs 5,000-6,000, while subsidized domestic consumers will have to pay at least Rs 8-10 per unit for consumption of up to 300 units per month, he said.
hume 1unit electricity ko 10 unit main convert karne hain proper planning ke sath.are you agree then discuss ke liye anumati de sakte hain. thank you
Experts agree that ‘doability’ has guided the scope of the amendments that the government has proposed, with reforms included in the earlier draft that evoked opposition having been dropped. To take one example, the provision for separation of ‘carriage and content’, which would have segregated the business of operating local transmission systems from the distribution of electricity — effectively allowing end-consumers to choose who they want to buy electricity from.
This is important because two draft versions of amendments to the Electricity Act of 2003 floated by the Union power ministry in 2014 and 2018 failed to become law. The amendments have been framed keeping in mind the “few critical issues which have weakened commercial and investment activities in the electricity sector and need to be addressed immediately to ensure sustainable growth of the country”, the government said while unveiling the proposals.
Save electricity& generate naturally and renewable energy sources..
Sir
Actually first of all you stop totally waste of money because many companies are take advantage of government package so don't pay to him and mostly start the usage of solar energy and in daily basis and unit price decide by meter kilowatt and mainly get ready to new punishment rule happy in whole india for every department govt. Worker and politician if thay miss used his power or bribe so they should be punishment give by law .
Dear sir,
Depends on renewable energy.
We must give people such ideas like delhi government so people can use less energy in greedyness of free electricity.
Respected Sir, RWA 's of Residential colonies in Gurgoan indulge in profiteering on electric supply, they get electricity at govt rates, but charge much higher to residents. eg . In our society RWA charges residents at flat rate of Rs 10 per unit and do not give benefits of slabs. This loot by RWA should be stopped.
