By completely removing the mandatory exit "punch-out" gate scan, we achieve critical benefits: 1. STAMPEDE PREVENTION: During rush hours, a train delay causes severe platform crowding and creates dangerous choke points. Open exits allow passengers to walk straight out, clearing platforms instantly. 2. 50% MACHINERY SAVINGS: Eliminating exit fare-checking machinery instantly cuts procurement, hardware maintenance, and tech downtime costs in half. 3. STAFF OPTIMIZATION: Ground staff can be reallocated from fixing exit gate errors to active platform safety and crowd control. A flat ₹25 fare keeps the line financially viable while making Mumbai's toughest commute structurally safe and efficient.
