Bamboo has been the lifeline of rural India since time immemorial. With the passage of time and development of technologies leading to new usage, the 'green gold' has turned into a potential game changer for rural economy - for the farmer and industry equally.

With this background and number of progressive measures including the amendment of the Indian Forest Act to remove bamboo outside forests from the definition of 'trees', the restructured National Bamboo Mission (NBM) was launched in 2018-19 for the development of complete value chain of bamboo sector linking growers (farmers) with industry starting from raising quality planting material, plantation, creation of facilities for collection, aggregation, processing, micro, small & medium enterprises, skill development and brand building initiative in a cluster approach mode.

‘National Bamboo Mission’ invites farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, bamboo-based industry to send in their experiences, innovations, and good practices adopted for increased productivity, strengthen supply of raw material to industry, products in sync with contemporary markets, REPLACE SINGLE USE PLASTICS, new age construction, and other sunrise uses.

lignin.Lignin has 1–2 free OH groups/C9,while the number of free OH groups in cellulose is 3 OH/C6.34 Based on this obvious that species with highlignin content have lower surface energy,negligible polar contribution,and decreased WA.The lower affinity of lignin-rich particles to water might be helpful to avoid fiber degradation alkaline pore water the main agent forfiber degradation into cementitious matrix.

While bamboo particles presented basic density of 0.26±0.03 g/cm³,Bamboo presented the highest ash content., bamboo due to the increased surface area of those particles, since they present very low density and consequently there is a need to increase the number of particles in the panel with a predetermined density.Also,the lower content lignin in bamboo and sugar cane bagasse particles resulted in higher hydrophilicity than those particles with higher contents of lignin.

Bamboo Microorganisms Another method of gathering microorganism is through burying your container with cooked rice on bamboo plants litter. Apparently, bamboo through observation and experience in the East, attracts powerful beneficial microorganisms as the roots of the bamboo exude sugary substances that attract beneficial microorganisms

In natural farming, Indigenous Microorganism (IMO) is becoming popular among farmers. This Indigenous microorganism (IMO) has been successfully tried by government agriculturists, academic researchers, non-profit organizations and farmers alike. They have found that IMO is useful in removing bad odors from animal wastes, hastening composting, and contributing to crops’ general health.

Bamboo baskets can reduce use of plastic in manufacturing of plastic carry bags. Bamboo can be used in manufacturing of paper pulp. This will reduce use of plastic sheets in wrapping and packaging. This will save cutting of traditional trees for making paper which take many years for growth. In comparison bamboos can grow faster and keep providing raw material for making paper. Bamboo furnitures can replace both plastic and wood furniture. Overall, bamboo can help in saving environment
