This sector has a potential to earn a lot if been supported in a true manner. The people engaged in this profession may be illiterate or less educated but they are having(Hooner) artistic hands to paint their dreams on carpets.

Make 'One roof' facility in every state or in every district, if possible. Under it, the unemployed and interested person has to register and he/she will be trained. Trainers from every direction of India either it is J&K, northeast or any other, should teach unskilled people. This would be the great step in the direction of cultural sharing and unity.

Our government need to provide suitable platform like china and turkey to promote this business well.
We are focusing only hand made carpet sector, but it is very huge market potential is there for machine made carpet.
Government need to provide some incentive cum promotional scheme to develop this segment to strengthen our product in international market.

sir, for increasing maximum employments we have to give emphasis on cottage industry and agriculture base industry. As Promotion of Carpet Weaving is one part of it, it cannot solve the problems. and again maximum people mayn't accept the same.

Sir
I think the challenge lies whether we can compete with the Persian carpets at international level. New designs, traditional styles and expertise can give great results. Indian handicrafts' emporiums can be used to sell carpets. It is also recommended that regular workshops be held to teach the new generation about the skill of carpet weaving. Small and medium scale carpet weaving industries must be promoted.
The govt. can take help of old and experienced carpet weavers to create new design

Sir, i am into insurance. I visuted a carpet business owner in Bhadohi, adjoining Varanasi. He said that export of weaven carpets from Bhadohi can increase many folds if connectivity, infrastructure and govtsupprt is provided. As village is being taken by MPs, such export hub should also be adopted by MPs
