Smart City Jalandhar

Start Date :
Oct 08, 2015
Last Date :
Nov 16, 2015
00:00 AM IST (GMT +5.30 Hrs)
The City of “Jalandhar”, prominent Sports & Light Engineering manufacturing goods Hub of Asia in the State of Punjab, has been selected as one of the Smart Cities under the ...
curbing of illegal encroachments should be top priority along with improving public transportation. use of green energy should be adopted and cctv and ring roads are now have become the basic necessity. application for various works under the corporation should be done online so as to promote e-governance. city to be promoted as sports and medical capital of India
Jalandhar city become smart and the ppl of this city is also behave like smart. In road ppl should give first way to ambulance on the road otherwise the way of ambulance should be other bcoz in the road ppl not give first way to ambulance. Everyone want to go first but if they give first way to ambulance then may be someone life save.
One more thing police of this nation should behave gently
#smartcity #jalandhar
We need pollution free and clean city and also more trees should be planted across the roads.Proper sewage system and transportation system should be there.Roads should be well built.More parks should be there.Proper management of garbage is needed and there should be no garbage dumps on the roads as it spoils the look of a clean SMART CITY.
We also need to control the traffic by making some tough rules regarding running of 4 wheelers such as cars ,there are two many cars running on the road which lead to worse traffic condition,MCJ needs to appeal the public to minimize the use of cars as much as possible.
This will lead to ease in the traffic and less pollution.
Please take a important note on this issue.
We need to improve traffic system and transport system in the jalandhar ,i think improvement in this field will lead to major change and important step towards making our city a "SMART CITY".
All the red lights should be equipped with working CCTVs to monitor the persons who break the law. Red lights should not havebeggars and road side vendors as they distort the traffic and lead to accidents. Further buses should not be allowed to stop at major signals including Pathankot Chowk and some others as they cause messy traffic situations leading to great difficulty to drive. Further at all the places where there is regular problem of traffic, traffic police should be ordered to check it.
To ensure the safety and security of its citizens, Jalandhar also need projects like this (http://www.penduweb.com/article/359/delhi-government-starts-testing-free-wifi-on-three-dtc-bus-routes). With internet connectivity, people can become well informed about local news and CCTV will ensure their safety.
Public transport system should be adopted like Chandigarh.
Green Belts from the Railway Station towards Domoria ROB should be constructed to give a hygenic look to the visitors coming to my Jalandhar City.District Administration may fix timing for loading and unloading of goods in the markets to reduce traffic jams
more and more parking lots be established nearby main markets such as Attari bazaar, sheikhan bazaar, Rainak bazaar, mahavir marg to control illegal parkings and to reduce traffic jams.I would like my smart city as such that all the shops except medicine shops and restaurants, be closed after 7PM to save energy and to reduce traffic which will also result in less pollution.
