It must qq noted for certain that when we talk of Smart City Proposal (SCP), we must be serious because cosmetic touches would not do as is being done near Damoria Pul, Old Railway 🚄 Road. Without tackling the problem of its becoming a pond even a half an hour's rain, improving its surroundings wouldn't be of much use for the commuters as in case of its BEING FILLED WITH RAIN WATER, IT IS JUST OUT OF USE. IT WOULD HAVE COMMERCIAL VALUE THEREAFTER ONLY. MCJ MUST HAVE VIEWS OF COMMUTERS.

Before Smart City Gov. shouldsolve problems of traffic chaos, illegal encroachments etc. and promote industry products by building exhibition centres, medical tourism as it has large number of hospitals. The street vendors should be given specific places as making small rehri markets.A smart rechargeable Card should be provided as all the MCJ taxes and fees an other in-city payslips can be paid through e-money.More public hangout places should be built to increase revenues ndSolid waste management.

Apart from Construction of Burlton park, I think it should be got mandatory in all schools to impart training to the students in some games activities atleast for one hour and coaches be also appointed in all schools. This will not only rejuvenate the students to get relaxed from the burden of education but also improve their health standards. Moreover games also gives the students brotherhoodness and they will not involve in some unsocial activities.

As Burlton Park which was used to organise International and for other domestic matches, that was the only stadium where Our Super Star Harbhajan Singh, Lala Amarnath and many more IPL players got training, was dismantled for Construction of World Class Stadium. But due to some litigations, this project is hangering on. I must recommend that GoI may take initiative and funds may be released at the earliest to construct this Stadium at International level so that Jalandhar city give more players.

The two traffic points on Railway Road in JALANDHAR CITY are called in colloquial parlance as "Dumoria Pull" (Railway Under Bridge having two-way traffic ways) and "Ekehari Puli" ( RUB with one-way traffic path). These two RUBs just adjacent the JALANDHAR CITY Railway 🚄 Station, are decades old, but even an half-hour's rain makes the biggest traffic hazard, turning both the RUBs into ponds. The are wondering whether in this era of technology NOTHING CAN BE DONE. MCJ SHOULD HAVE AN ANSWER...

The first impression is the last impression, they say. I have been posting comments on MyGov.in since its very inception that it is highly desirable that entry points to JALANDHAR CITY should bear impressive looks. Starting with the entry from the Railway 🚄 Station side. Alighting from train and starting towards Mai Hiran Gate & Shri Devi Talab Mandir, one is faced with the path hardly befitting a city which is home to several streams of Industries. This route has two heritage traffic points...

The city of Jalandhar requires to ensure basic infrastructure services to enable a decent quality of life in urban pockets and a clean and sustainable environment and adoption of smart solutions and providing more public spaces to poor. It may be implemented through areas based approach consisting of retrofitting, re-development, pan city initiatives. There is also need of hours to develop and adopt a model code for development of new cities Pan India for continuous pace of Smart Development.

Cleanliness needs to be taken care of both for health and hygiene of JALANDHAR CITY and for presenting the city to fellow country-men and the people abroad as the City is proud exporter, especially of sports-goods. NEEDLESS TO MENTION THAT THE ENTRY POINTS TO THE CITY ARE PRESENTLY IN A BAD SHAPE, OFFERING SHABBY SCENES ALL THROUGH JOURNEY IN THE CITY. QUICK REMEDIAL MEASURES ARE CALL OF THE TIME. URGENT STEPS NEED TO BE TAKEN TO PRESENT JALANDHAR CITY AS "CITY BEAUTIFUL".
