New Town, Kolkata has been declared as a potential Smart City under the Smart Cities Mission, Government of India. To participate in Round-2 of the challenge of the smart city ...
Regular contract with citizen and government through the IT infrastructure such as mail or video conferencing make all smart citizen and also change a city as a Smart City
in my opinion a smart town should have:- smart economy, smart governance, smart environment, smart connection, smart living and lastly but very important to have Smart Citizen.
We all want like be a smart city of New Town.
In my opinion, Smart city must be a green city, Traffic free, Clean City. There must be some parks to walk.
We are make New Town as a Smart City. Smart citizen make a township as a Smart City.
1. We make New Town as a Plastic free area.
2. We make New Town more greenery.
3. We make New Town as a Tobacco free.
4. We make Eco-Park and New Town Plaza as a land mark of New Town.
5. We needs a subway near Rabindratirtha.
We all make New Town as a famous city of world.
Expecting some good pandals this Durga Puja in New Town - moved here last year with family, and must say that we all love it here!
A little better traffic, more lights in the interior residential areas, and I feel this would be the best place to live in Kolkata.
No doubt New Town and Rajarhat is perfect as a smart city, at least in Kolkata. Just wanted to know when the Metro Railway construction is going to be complete?
I love this place, and I really get everything I need here for myself and my family. Just hope that all the construction work gets completed soon.
We already have a nice green spot in New Town, the Eco Park. More such green spots would be lovely. Planting tree lines along the roads and dividers as well as nicely maintained grass banks on the islands wherever possible would be an added advantage. Even the properties in the region should have grass cover on the openspaces surrounding the buildings.
