New Town, Kolkata has been declared as a potential Smart City under the Smart Cities Mission, Government of India. To participate in Round-2 of the challenge of the smart city contest, a Smart City Proposal will be prepared after taking into consideration aspirations, visions, goals and smart solutions (low cost smart solutions, technology based smart solutions etc.) communicated by the citizens of New Town, Kolkata to make it a better place to live. The water bodies are removed everyday for large construction. Smart does not only means tech growth and wide residential areas, care about the environment is vital. If ponds and water areas are removed, in future this may create issues.

Traffic rules ro besi strict kora hok. Faka rasta jonne gari gulor speed er kono thik thake na. Rasta par howa is really difficult. Fine newa hok thik jaigai parking na korar jonne.

Please come up with some new and more effective mosquito control plans. The current situation of A.E block is insufferable. I'm hoping to get positive reply.

Smart city concept should make people feel responsible towards the city. Issues effecting people's life on daily basis should be taken under consideration and such solutions should be adopted which are effective and efficient to implement and proposes public participation.
