There should be provision for multi-modal transport with unified ticket or smart cards for bus, rail and ITS. There should be a dedicated cell or unified authority for coordinating the same.

Nothing can be more pleasing than my area turning to a smart city. I am supporting this inititaive. We all should do it.

There should be 10 a/c bus shelters in major locations and other smart bus stops with ATMs in other areas of the city. I am thinking about buying a flat in New Town and now I am all the more excited about it. I hope it becomes a Smart City sooner.

I think New Town should also become a Green City along with a Smart City. More trees should be planted and it will no more look like a concrete jungle. Planting trees is really important for living a healthy life.

I think if women protection and safety, waste management and transportation is taken care of, New Town will be the best place to be in Kolkata.
