I want my children to play safely in the parks. Security is the first issue that should be dealt with before making it a smart city.

Smart can be defined as- beautiful, safety, modern, easy commutation. Can New Town promise all these to its residents?
New Town area ta dekhle mone hoi.. Kolkata k soti sundor r modern korai jai. Ektu planning dorkar. Jemon Salt Lake ta Bidhan Roy kore gachen.. asa korchi.. dhire dhire aro sundor hoye uthbe sohor!
I was thinking having some more entertaining places here. There are vacant lands which can be used for theme parks and water areas can be used for water parks. How about an aquarium? The wax museum is a big hit. So how about all these?
How about some more schools in this region? I need to send my child to central Kolkata and the journey is quite tiresome.
We need separate path for the pedestrians and of course a separate lane for cycles. New Town er rastai bhison jore gari chole. Security and safety makes separate lanes almost mandatory!
Water logging is a problem still persisting in some of the interior regions. Before starting with these apartments, the builders need to think about the drainage issue. But then again it’s not only about builder but part of city development process.
I have just bought a flat at New Town. The development spree is really worth appreciating. Good luck guys, just keep a note of all these mentioned demands. You will be able to create a real SMART CITY!
I am happy to be working in one of the smartest areas in Kolkata - but Behala theke asha jawa ta ektu chaap. Hopefully traffic conditions and metro connectivity problems gulo solve hoe jabe in the near future.
