New Town, Kolkata has been declared as a potential Smart City under the Smart Cities Mission, Government of India. To participate in Round-2 of the challenge of the smart city ...
Good place, lots of opportunities for jobs, and the possibility to stay near your place of work. Free wifi, good roads, I am loving my new home in New Town!
Khub asha acche ei puro byapar ta niye. Asha korchhi shob jaate bhalo hoy. Bhishon bhabe opekkhay achhi. All the best!
After returning to India, as a Kolkatan I wanted a property in Bengal. I had some doubts as to if this would be a good investment, but I think New Town matches my requirements perfectly :)
Wow! Now this is something which is an actual good news for Kolkata. I really hope that all aspects will b taken care of including transportation, ease of living, safety and security, etc.
New Town is the IT hub and I am living here for the past 2 years because of my job. I am really excited about this upcoming change.
Now this is something which I wished forever! I am a resident of New Town and I am loving this initiative.
Baah! My friend was telling me about this but I didnt believe him. Now it seems to be a mission possible. Very happy and waiting eagerly!
For me, good transportation system, womens safety, waste management plays the most important role in any city and I hope New Town will soon become the best place to live in Kolkata when all these aspects will be taken care of.
Being a woman, I want maximum security in New Town at night. I often return from my work late and I worry about my safety. I hope this can be kept in mind while making it a Smart City.
Initiatives to keep New Town clean is a must. There should be garbage collection bins and recycle bins at every required places, properly monitored and serviced by the government. And not just the government, the residents of New Town are equally responsible to keep the city clean. Remember, a clean city is in itself a smart city!
