There should be a web platform exclusively for New Town residents to discuss their problems related to infrastructure, services, or anything else with each other. A forum where all New Town reidents can come together and socialize. May be even participate in various works or share ideas to upgrade their own city.
I believe any smart city should bring to its citizens smart access to all its services. And in today's world, what's more smart than to have all these services right at the palm of your hand. Waiting to see all regular and emergency services of New Town delivered in a single and effective mobile app.

Was really excited when they said that New Town would be an entire internet covered region. Though the region is covered with internet services, but the signal strength remains awefully weak at any given time of the day. Would love to see that improve.
It would be great if we could have digital direction markers / signboards installed near the traffic signals at all crosspoints, kiosks with New Town block maps and other important info like emergency service contact services at various points of New Town.
There are a couple of super speciality hospitals in New Town. It would be great if we could have a mobile app with GPS tracking systems that could bring ambulances and emergency services on spot with the click of a single button. Could be really useful for older people and during any emergency.
We already have the Coal Bhawan in New Town using solar power to great effect. I think its time we should use more solar power to feed various power related requirements in New Town.
Some of the residential areas in New Town are really dark and scary at night. Are we getting everything lit up real soon? I really love this place and have no doubt it is growing to be one of the best places to live in Kolkata.

I hope with the increasing interests in Eco Park and other leisure activities in New Town, the cost of tickets and rides also go down with time :)
