Panaji City wants sustainable development in various sectors like land development, transport, tourism considering climate change, biodiversity. City needs to give more stress on pay parking, one way street, better traffic signage. City also expect good quality of water, electricity and sanitation facility.

Re-train conservancy workers, Electricity department, PWD(sewerage & water supply, roads) workforce who are on the field at all times. We already have efficient guys on the ground, working daily. They need our full support. These are the people you need on the 'Smart' side first. Training must include people skills, work processes, etc imparted in local, understandable language. Efficient city workers will lead to systematic management and only then can bring about the ‘smartness’ in the city.

1)Kindly include additional villages adjacent to Panaji city such as Santa Cruz,Merces,Calapur,Chimbel,Curca,Bambolim so that these areas are also equally developed.
2) Need to have one modern dessign cow shed in Merces or Chimbel area under smart city mission so that street cattles are taken of.
3) Govt. of Goa should come up with Infrastructure funds by which people can invest and become stake holders for the benefit of the city and people.

Coordination among various govt. agencies, e-governance model, a well followed up citizen grievance portal, regular discussions and meetings with various stakeholders, citizen helpline kiosks are some of the initiatives which would help build a citizen centric smart city.

I think for any smart city energy is a big concern.Since now a lot of new buildings would come up, I feel most of those buildings should have solar panels installed to make the city energy sufficient or maybe even surplus. Moreover Led bulbs could be used.

Solar panels should be installed on terrace of all the buildings in the Panaji City and also the street lights in the city should be solar powered.

Even the best systems fail if there is no accountability. And in Panjim, indeed India, there is zero accountability - for both citizens as well as public servants. Traffic policemen are not held accountable for their beats and drivers are not held accountable for where they park. The same goes for garbage collection, etc. In the private sector, if you don't do your job well enough, you are fired. Introduce the best systems and hold people accountable to them - that is the key to a smart city.

IMO goa can be made a great education hub.there will be constant churn of people coming and going and will provide employment to many.
