The Pasighat Municipal Council (PMC) is pleased to inform you that our City has been selected through a competitive process for Smart City Mission under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD). In the next phase, our city has to compete with others to make it to the top 20 to be taken up for first round of funding, for year 2015-16.

Pasighat is now required to formulate a vision, mission and a proposal in consultation with its citizens and other stakeholders. Your City needs you!! So, PMC urges the citizens of Pasighat to share their opinions and ideas to make our “Pasighat- a Credible Smart City”. Your views are valuable and can make a difference to our city!!

Your valuable suggestions can bring significant transformation to your city and improve the life of citizens.

Pasighat is the headquarter of east siang district state of arunachal Pradesh as we all know the pasighat is the oldest town of arunachal Pradesh. As well as pasighat had been creditd with the first ever administrative headquarters being astablished is pasighat and the first airfield also. Embankment of Siang River should be done immediately or some part of low lying areas like market area to sill would be inundated since level of river is rising due to silting or deposit of sand in its bed. Any incident of the magnitude of last flood in 1999 would amount to heavy loss to township.

Town beautification,wifi facility in cheap rate, parks for people and pedestrian walk ways, tree plantation, regulated market areas, lighting up of streets, basic security, litter control, garbage collection, pay n use toilets, and no honking zones will have to follow.

Pasighat is going to be a smart city and being a smart city it should also have a smart education and security. The city have to develop it should have 24X7 water supply and electricity supply. Proper housing, easy transportation, medical facilities, metres, airport all are required for a smart city. A smart solution is required to make the city SMART.
