The City “Mangaluru” in Karnataka has been selected as one of the Smart Cities to be developed under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India's Smart City Mission. In order to participate in the 'City Challenge' proposal competition, Mangaluru is now required to formulate its own unique Vision and prepare the Smart City Plan in consultation with the citizens and other stakeholders.
Mangaluru City Corporation makes a Clarian call to Mangaluru’s responsible, right thinking and smart citizenry to post their valuable suggestions and recommendations to make Mangaluru a truly Smart Global City.
Your valuable suggestions would help Mangaluru to formulate a Smart City Vision, Goals and Strategy to achieve objectives.

The citizens are also requested to share their innovative and sustainable ideas and suggestions to develop Pan City Initiatives using Smart Solutions (using Information and Communication Technology) in areas of Core Infrastructure (as defined in the Smart City Mission Statement & Guidelines) and Area Based Developments to accelerate Economic Activities in the city.

Smart 24 - 24/7 water, electricity and broadband. Water has to be collected through rain and electricity through solar power. Smart roads - Freeway for AMBULANCE and FIRE SERVICE VANS. Educate citizens to use PUBLIC TRANSPORT and follow rules. Say NO TO HANGING WIRES Smart tourism - make them safe and beautiful to attract tourists. Smart administration - Certificates like birth, death, income should be made online #SmartCity, #Mangaluru, #MyGov

Suggestion for Smart City: • Power Supply from UPCL • 4 Way Roads • Baikampady Industrial Area Development • Teaching Our Culture to Kids in School in a Separate Subject termed Culture & values • Straightening of Roads where there are many curves & turns especially near Kateel • Express Way

1 first we have to create a greener and cleaner city.trashbins must be kept everywhere 2 roads must be properly repaired ,and a bicycle lane must be created to encourage cycling 3 24x7 free WiFi 5 24x7 power supply for the city 6 an efficient drainage system 7 IT and digitalisation , finance centresfor economic development 8 promote tourism by keeping the beaches very clean since mangaluru is a coastal city #smart city #mangaluru
