The City “Mangaluru” in Karnataka has been selected as one of the Smart Cities to be developed under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India's Smart City Mission. In order to participate in the 'City Challenge' proposal competition, Mangaluru is now required to formulate its own unique Vision and prepare the Smart City Plan in consultation with the citizens and other stakeholders.
Mangaluru City Corporation makes a Clarian call to Mangaluru’s responsible, right thinking and smart citizenry to post their valuable suggestions and recommendations to make Mangaluru a truly Smart Global City.
Your valuable suggestions would help Mangaluru to formulate a Smart City Vision, Goals and Strategy to achieve objectives.

The citizens are also requested to share their innovative and sustainable ideas and suggestions to develop Pan City Initiatives using Smart Solutions (using Information and Communication Technology) in areas of Core Infrastructure (as defined in the Smart City Mission Statement & Guidelines) and Area Based Developments to accelerate Economic Activities in the city.

Please provide your suggestions and feedback latest by 5th October 2015.

24*7 hours water supplies, power supplies, drainage connection, road improvement,education improvement & Clean in mangalore city & Employment.

1.People must be aware of cleanses & Traffic rules. 2.Should be good road & footpath facility. 3.Provide clean public toilets. 4.Tourism & Industries to be improved & entertained. 5.Good parks needed.

3. Solar power plants (small and medium) for energy requirement of future. Public/private/government/semi government buildings to go for solar units for power. Banks can participate for funding this sector. 4. Drainage system to be decentralized and proper treatment implementation.

MANGALURU SMART CITY 1. Ring Road as bypass with interconnected roads between main roads within city to reduce congestion at intersections. All roads with footpaths and drains with parking facility at regular intervals and key places. Land acquisition relaxations and adequate compensations so that land losers won’t feel angry voluntarily give land for development. 2. Interlinking Gurpur and Netravathi rivers from Adoor to Thumbe for increased requirement of water in future. 3

Mangaluru the Smart City with Smart people. Roads to be improved, Home to All, 24x7 water supply and electricity, Drainage system should be improved, More Tourist spots to be created and developed.
