The City “Mangaluru” in Karnataka has been selected as one of the Smart Cities to be developed under the Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India's Smart City ...
Smartest facilties for the people of smart city to utilise the govt facilities and development ,healthy ,wealthy.
By giving good knowledge & develop people ,its very easy to develop city uniquely.
Perfect utilisation of manpower is smart thinking.bcoz there will some unique idea is there in some people.
Make people rich with good manners and knowledge, healthy & positive.then people make city very smart n famous.
VISION: " A modernized version of ancient INDIA, which has a very high standard of living physically, intellectually, culturally and spiritually, where environment friendly technology is used to lead a wonderful & meaningful life, and also used to govern transparently and fairly, to achieve sustainable greatness for the next generations to come."
Please find attachment of my vision on Smart namma kudla(mangalore) City
Computerisation of Mangaluru City Corporation should be expedited. Electronic payment of statutory taxes should be the norm. Encouragement should be provided to promote plastic money transactions at no extra cost to one making payment. Law enforcement of traffic violations to should rely more on technology than human intervention. City planners should ensure that vertical growth is affordable to end stakeholders and not just an investment opportunity for NRIs.
#Mangaluru Sarvarige samabaalu, Sarvarige Samapalu should be implemented in letter and spirit in a smart city where all stakeholders have equal opportunities at using city's resources equitably. Customer friendly public transport, IT solutions for e-governance and special focus on infrastructure for the elderly is what Namma Kudla cries out for.
I as a common citizen would like to express my views regarding beautiful & smart mangaluru. There is need for service road on either side of Nh66 connecting to udupi to avoid traffic jams &also an alternate road to nh66 can be contemplated.
There should be coordination between various departments such as pwd, telecom , mescom& those who take up theroadwork so that the work ne by one will not be spoilt by other& the work will be neat & last long.
Mangaluru is in dire need of footpath as it has become herculean task for the pedestrians with the increase d traffic.
No of trains to Bangalore shoud be increased& journey time reduced so that there is no waste of time & more business comes through.
plans should be made to save the rainwater through rainwater harvesting & other methods so that there is no dreath of water &more business comes through.
There is lot of potential for tourism which if developed can trigger much of economic activity.
1. In spite of good roads in most parts of the city the traffic condition is pathetic, as we all lack basic driving sense.
2. Traffic rules should be enforced strictly. Cameras should be installed at all major locations.
3. Campaigns to educate people to use the round-about and stop streets as it should be.
4. Illegal parking on narrow roads, major road should be stopped.
5. Public transport system(BUS) should be strengthened to decongest roads from reckless 2 wheelers
The next big thing towards development and making the city smarter is improving connectivity facilities. Mangaluru Int'l Airport (MIA) should be expanded so that flights from around the world arrive in the city. Runway should be expanded for this. Secondly, all national highways connecting Mangaluru should be made 4 laned and 6 laned and also wide, good quality service roads should be developed near the highways. Roads inside the city should also be developed like TenderSURE roads in Bengaluru.
To make the city smarter, there should be strict police security throughout the city. Especially in cases of communal violence, police should be very strict and punish the violators badly. Women should also be given maximum safety. Their safety is very important for the city's development. Thus bringing down violence completely will be the first way in making Mangaluru a smart city!!
