My submission is not exactly for rural but for overall digitization. It has become a routine for all Banks and other online service providers to make giving mobile number compulsory. Once mobile number is given, a string of junk msgs and pesky calls follows. The GOI is trying to revive landline phones and BSNL. I suggest Govt should make it compulsory to accept daytime landline as contact number. At the same time, with caller ID phones becoming universal, SMS should be started on landline also

The rural ,as well as tribal areas of India is getting poor quality of wireless internet services from ISPs like BSNL. my suggestions is that the official websites of the various Government Departments should be made lighter in content so that they open / download into mobile phones fastly. In my experience the websites downloaded much faster about 16 months back when the wireless / mobile internet had just started. Now these websites although designed for Mobile phones are too heavy.Thanx

Dear Sir, I would like to advise on International driving licence, my international driving licence which I got from DTO Patna (Bihar) is an A4 size of paper, which use to make me shamed while producing internationally, I believe our Indian international driving licence should be issued in a smart way, such as smart cards, etc. Being overseas we present our country and an international licence on an A4 size of paper really make us uncomfortable + hard to carry and can destroy easily.

Every roads in rural india should be made smart. It can be achieved by issuing a)Driving licenses fitted with RFID chips. 2) vehicles should be fitted with RFID taged number-plates. 3)Roads should have RFID receivers and all the inputs are sent to a central server. We can make our villages safe from trespassers. Every driver, vehicle that enter can be identified easily. This type of arrangements can avoid terrorist attacks like in Gurudaspur. It should be made mandatory in all borders states.

This is for kind attention to Sh RSP communication minister to first arrange for broadband (wi-fi, Land Line/NOFN or wireless). This is very easy but the officers in BSNL/MTNL and BBNL adopting delaying tactics and wasting the money available with govt of india under USOF. I suggest as first Phase to provide WI-FI Hot-Spots on all Mobile Towers and Telephone Exchange sites where fibre is available and thus no extra infra is required. This will cover most of the cities and villages

IT Ministry should coordinate with Finance Ministry and RBI to ensure speedy release of guidelines on mobile banking. While millions of bank accounts have been opened under PMJDY, for banks to encourage their operation, the cost of operations of such accounts must come down. Given that the Banking correspondent (BC) model has been ineffective due to low incentives for BCs, the only way these accounts for ultra poor under PMJDY will work is if there were clear guidelines on mobile banking.
