As Indian Railways is following the tradition of Current reservations after the charts are prepared through counters, it is suggested to have these bookings available only through separate "current Ticket " booking options made available on IRCTC and Extra charges should be taken for Current Bookings ranging from Rs 50/- To Rs 500/- varied across different classes from Sleeper class to AC-1st classs which is a separate class of Online ticket Booking available only as per seat availabilit for 1hr

there should be 50 % refund in tatkal quota tickets , so there will be benifit to railway as now if programed become cancelled after book tatakal or premium tatkal ticket no passenger cancel this ticket as there is no refund , if railway provide refund , these birth can be alloted to wait list passanger by this facility railway will earn more money .but in existing rules of non refund only TTE is earning the money by sell of vacant births . so there is need to amend rule

advance reservation period is 4 month is not useful to passangers , as most of the programme decides before 1 or 2 month so railway should start resrevation some quota before 4 month some quota before 3/02/01 month (for this facility railway can charge extra fare to passangers for late reservation like air ticket)

reservation system under irctc is agent friendly and not the ordinary passenger.to register and log-on with irctc is very elaborate. An ordinary person may like to travel 1 or 2 times a year.his mobile no and e-mail are unique to him alone.e-mail can be his user name.one may not remember the user name when he registered a few years back so he can't log in and has to go toan agent.the system needs to be reviewed, we don't find any difficulty when booking an air ticket

Implement return ticket for journeys in ordinary too...and online or mobile app ordinary ticket booking and travel by using the sms. Railway can also think about Multiplex theatres at big city railway stations for extra income.

In case of wait-listed tickets, refund happens automatically by IRCTC for tickets purchased online. There is no need to file TDR. Similarly, if Indian Railways cancels a train due to any reason, the IRCTC should make automatic refund of ticket amount without expecting TDR filing within 72 hours.

Within few seconds of opening of ticketing counter under tatkal bookings, all the available tickets are sold.Unconfirmed report says that the booking clerks bring filled in data in pendrive or similar device and first upload these data before accepting request from a person standing in a queue across window. How far this allegation is true ? Let railway authorities find out the truth and provide relief to public.
