Mobile based Ticketing facility may save energy, time, long queues and thousands of trees(paper) for normal tickets. Various Payments options may be allowed. Also all ticket windows should open .Both sides of railway station should have these facilities.JTS windows are very beneficial near big railway stations.

The major crowd on platforms are for unreserved tickets..We may create chain of authorized agents in each City/Town according to population etc at various key places (Bus Stand/most popular key points) in the cities for issue of unreserved tickets. We need to introduce more security control at IRCTC to control access by agents.

There shall be ticketing based on special & separate kind of trains. There is no need to attach separate bogies of various class to every trains. Rather, it is best suitable in today's time that the Railways should ply separate train for different class. Eg. On Mumbai - Nagpur route, trains should be run separate for : AC Special, Reserved, Unreserved & local. Plus : Direct, S.Fast & Express. In addition to the Premium, Shatabdi & Durontos. This will guarantee wide slot & will cater to everyone.

There shall be a ticketing house at each platform of every town, city & metros. This will ease the congestion & crowding of the present ticket counters. Plus, there will be no need to pass the station over to get new tickets. This system is already well planned & successfully implemented on Mumbai suburban transit. Why not to implement it everywhere. It is highly recommended to start from major states like Maharashtra.

Why not upgrade the entire long distance ticketing system from present train & date specific to point-to-point & date specific. For e.g; instead of asking ppl to book at a particular available train; the system should only book tickets from a location to its destination. Prior to 7 days the entire booking should be analysed and trains should be allocated as per the demand of that particular route. And only prior to 7days ppl be intimated about the timing and berth no & transfer details etc.

Sir, Your plans for bullet trains are ok. But that will be for few routes and fares will be prohibitive for most Indians. What I suugest is that: 1. Pay more attention to make the running of trains immune to fog. For several months almost 40-50% of all trains in the country are afected by fog and they run upto 24 hours behind schedule and many are also cancelled causing hardship to crores of Indians. Please employ technology to ensure timely and safely running of trains during fog, too.

The inconvenient part of Rly E tickets is only messages for booking of tkts are sent , but if trains get cancelled or route diverted then no messages are sent 2 passengers thereby causing great inconvenience to them. My self a Station Master in Rly has to face lot of passengers complaints regarding this. So in train enquiry system a software should be developed so that any change of train schedule a message should be automatically sent 2 their mob no. Same could be done for counter tkts.
