Public Protection and Disaster Relief (PPDR) communications supports a wide range of services related to day to day life of public such as maintenance of law and order, protection of life and property, disaster relief and emergency responses.

The advancement of the technology has provided PPDR networks with latest and enhanced features in terms of capability, capacity and interoperability. Broadband PPDR supports wide range of applications such as sending live images, videos and texts apart from the voice communications. Existing PPDR networks in the country are analog and digital systems supporting narrowband voice and data communications. Introduction of advanced PPDR communication networks can be a great enabler in decision making and handling of PPDR operations for personnel and organizations involved. Keeping in view the need to have a robust policy framework for the introduction of an advanced, reliable, robust and responsive PPDR communication system in the country, TRAI has initiated suo-motu a Consultation Paper on ‘Next Generation Public Protection and Disaster Relief (PPDR) communication networks’ for the comments of the stakeholders. The consultation paper has been here.

Last date for submission of suggestions is 4th December, 2017.

Rular area mobile network is most important which connected every village person to government information system

sir. i think trai should made mandatory for telecom sectors to prior message all the rural connection in case any disaster forecasted by IMD like cyclone warning for coastal regions and information about hailstorm and drought to all rural connection..it will help farmers to save their crops and thus their suicides.. and in india we still have connectivity problems ..so i think TRAI should grade all service providers in the basis of their service and network. so that consumer can choose by that..

1)VEGETABLE price,petrol price,all product price are very high.But No hike in salary or income.2) Big businessman are getting lakhs crore of rupees as repay free bank loan.3)rs 40 crore CD for Hardik patel. what we get from this government? Only Bhason & Bhason.4)Sipika & Dhanshali knows about their protector as BJP. So they don;t care about rajput and General citizen. Sipika & Dhanshali's career is finished. I shall ensure that.Result in election in gujarat you will get the answer

Sir,not having proper facilities of network in rural area of odisha,for that unable to operate mobile and Internet.these dys also village having such issue and no one resolve this after lots of complaint to the concern Operator,who is take care such pro lems kindly tell us.village-sinapali,nuapada,odisha#Ajit Bansal

ट्राई को सभी टेलीकॉम कंपनी को एक दिशा-निर्देश दिया जाना चाहिए कि हर ब्लॉक पंचायत में या जिला मुख्यालय में कंपनी द्वारा अपना आउटलेट होना चाहिए ताकि ग्राहक को किसी रिटेलर के मनमानी राशि का भुगतान नहीं करना पड़े , जो भी कंपनी के डिस्ट्रब्यूटर होते हैं वो सिर्फ बिक्री पर ध्यान देते हैं उन्हें कस्टमर सर्विस से मतलब नहीं होता है.जिसके कारण कस्टमर अपने सिम रिप्लेसमेंट के लिए भी भटकता रहता है. रिचार्ज की सुविधा तो कस्टमर को मिल जाती है,परन्तु सिम खराब पर ग्राहक को भटकना पड़ता है

send messages of telephone or mobile numbers of control center or help centers which are available in disaster near by areas in advance for free irrespective of service providers
