Train running status information is made available to passengers through website enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/ntes/, mobile applications, SMS and IVRS at 139.Suggest solutions for ...
Indian cities should have integrated transport information system, as it is in European cities. A person sitting in Bus-stand should have information about the Metro, suburban, long distance trains in next 30 minutes.. This will help more people using railway and public transport.
Create an Train Enquiry API platform, which 3rd party websites and mobile applications can use. This will help in multiple sources of accessing same information.
Train enquiry system should enhance more features.
1) It should give more accurate results.
2) Train numbers start with zero cann't check in the enquiry system (139) as of now. So, In the future the train number start with zero also should be able to get the information.
3) The (139) should be the toll-free number. So more people will use this system.
4) Train enquiry system should advertise in their local language (railway station. Ticket booking counters…).
By mobile only.
There is a big gap between the various information systems in railways. e.g. the delay in trian information is availble on internet site but not sent to passengers even those who booked tickets on internet. Even the employee at enquiry counter is not aware many a times on the status of departure. There is a strong database of reservation and train travel but effective information broadcastingis the missing link.
Train enquary system ko nishulk kiya jaye ?
139 number ko toll free karna hoga.kiu ki admi log jo train mai safar karna chayetay hai aisay bhai bahut gao ka bhi lok train par safar kartay hai jin logo ko internet or facebook karna nahi ata hai, lekin bharat ki sab dishao mai mobile phone sabhi kay pass rahayta hai.is liye koi bhi train ka number or PNR status or train ki chornay ki or anay ki khabar bina mullay say jankkari kye liye a 139 ko toll free karna chaiye or ish subidhao ko or bhai sahaj karna chaiye.
139 SMS service works perfectly well but no one knows what are the commands and how to use it.
The service should reach more people,
Post it inside Railway stations, public places, use social media (facebook, twitter)
