Train running status information is made available to passengers through website enquiry.indianrail.gov.in/ntes/, mobile applications, SMS and IVRS at 139.Suggest solutions for ...
a small mobile transreceiver can be installed inside a running train using which every one can contact train supdt. and messages can be transferred. passengers can just forward their tickets for checking no manual checking is necessary. The system can be used for ordering services also.
Railway should tie up with banks so that rail ticket reservation can be done at bank ATMs for which debit/credit cards can be used to pay amount and ticket can come either on mobile or the receipt slip. this will save time of every body from standing hours in line at ticket counters.
Railway should be 100% FDI. Secondry railway system generate atm card transaction throw all window off ticket . Like POS. IR TIcket generate for verification and quick status update. So that every detail at one place found and also transaction detail .
SWACHH INDIAN RAILWAYS - Before even we embark on digitial rail and other new initiatives ,we should ensure that the exisiting coaches are maintained and cleaned to have a feel good experience for the travellers .No rats and cockroaches roaming around in the coaches while sleeping .And one location ticker with information on previous station and arriving station would be a great help to over night travellers .Let us start with small changes with big impact ! And then go bigger !
Government should open military training school at each District places. Many strong and healthy children should admit in such school by taking health tests at std. V. We shall get future strong army and sportsmen also through such schools. Military Job guarantee should be given.
First things how accurate this status information should be. If I try 139 call 5 times, I will get incorrect information 4 times, I will not use 139 call to know status of my train. Whenever some one book ticket though internet or through window, He/She will receive immediate feedback that how one can know status of train. Print small information regarding status info. back of printed ticket as well as online ticket.
An app which takes GPS position of the train and can alert the watcher about the status. This will be useful for travelers as well others who are interested such as transport people, relatives. need to think on how will act without the continuous internet coverage.
Please create a consumer friendly feedback system for railways..
For lodging a complain we need to ask the TTE for the complain book which we never get.. moreover we do not get to know whether any action is really been taken on our grievances
In IRCTC website & in mobile App please allow passengers to rate their journey on the following basis:
>>Cleanliness in Tarins
>>Quality of food Provided in PAntry
>>Timeliness of Journey
>>Any other Convenience Caused
>> Complain against support sta
during festival season and other rush time railway should run more than one train alongwith regular train. Both should be allowed to enter each railway stn simultaneously and leave at the same time. other part of the journey should be one train running behind other train. so that during rush period people can move freely from one place to other place without any problem with easy availability of ticket. before reaching train at a station, it should be displayed the vacant position in train
I believe the Metro trains are the good way to change our railway structure also. I would like to make one point here that just like Metro Trains, only people has tickets can enter, the same should be applied in Indian railways also. and also the General tickets should not be distributed in large amount as it will flood sleeper class only.
Please distribute limited no of local tickets and try to avoid the overcrowding in sleeper classes as well.
