Emergency Management must be a skills-mandatory in education- at least in the Higher education curriculum. Government must come out as RedCross did to certify masses in First Aid. But, care needs to be taken while imparting skills- It must not become an opportunity to spread the red-tape and benefit agencies through contracts.
Dear PM sir,
In IIT Roorkee there is a course M.Tech in Disaster Management .Govt should place these students in Govt sector to utilize their skill in research and making policies. But all these students searching job by their own way in other fields. This is the condition of youth who have skills in this field.
The youth of India may primarily contribute in disaster mitigation and management activities through actively involving themselves in mass awareness campaigns and training programs because the youth is more knowledgeable about and equipped with the latest tools of information technology and access to more vast information base. The youth, being more energetic, may become the bridge between the elder generation and younger generation by at one side guiding the younger generation about how to decr
Willing & interested youth should be informed & trained through various organizations run and/or supported by state & central government. They should be encouraged to work on preventive measures, may be taken for the areas effected by disasters earlier.
Disaster is a natural way of correcting human exploitation on earth. One day earth will be turned hell. Anyway it has already turned hell in India. Thanks to people who only eat and shit. There contribution to world apart from this is null. Zero. Indian once produced millions of Buddha, and now it's producing millions of Boodhas(the old dead people). All the aliveness is killed in a human before he becomes young. There is no youth in India. All are just old lifeless and dead people.
All registered users in Mygov to mention what they can offer in case of disaster so that Central/state govt can involve them as and when situation arises. Special mock drills to be conducted on periodic basis when cadets of NCC and other interested citizens can participate.
आपदा शमन और प्रबंधन में युवाओं की क्या भूमिका होनी चाहिए
I CONSIDER A DISASTER MANAGEMENT OF A DIFFERENT KIND.....SUBSTANCE ABUSE & ADDICTION IS VERY HIGH AMONGST THE POOR AND THE MIDDLE CLASS....GROSS MISCONDUCT...COLLAPSE OF THE MORAL & VALUE SYSTEMS....EVENTUALLY DESTROYING THE YOUTH'S CHARACTER WHICH IS A NET LOSS TO THE NATION
WE NEED MEN & WOMEN OF GREAT COMPOSITION...CONDUCT & CHARACTER
Any student studying in Any educational stream , All universities must include a compulsory subject for teaching roles in disaster management irrespective of the field they are studying in.
Like Mygov.in , we should maintain a volunteer group through a website. Youths should be encouraged to register there. All information, training should be provided to them. We can register for blood donations. In case of emergency, this efforts could play an important role. Through website or apps, we can contact the volunteer blood donors.
