3) There also needs to a contribution from Non Resident Indians for Social Security. What this means is that incase the NRI has to return urgently back to India due to loss of job or other war type conditions then he will be assured a certain income for say 2 years and also incase the money is not used up it should work like an endowment which could be returned after the NRI reaches the age of 60.

Please consider the following for Non Resident Indians -

1) Voting rights for Non Resident Indians in their country of Residence.

2) Pension Plan for Non Resident Indians - It should be made compulsory for every Non Resident Indian to contribute a specific sum so that a Pension Plan can be worked out. This will increase the quality of life if a Non Resident Indian were to retire and come back to India. The contribution would also bring in big money to India in foreign exchange.

I heard your speech in Dubai. One of the takeaways is consular camps near workers facility. These are generally poor people and can't afford to make calls to their families. My recommendation is when consular camps are organised can they get free call service to their homes. Apart from the humanitarian benefits these will also give the workers to come out and share their greviance with consular staff.

We are very happy that Merger of PIO to OCI took place, but many Persons of Indian Origin, even those who would have eligible for PIO, find it rather difficult to prove their indian origin and get OCI card.Copy of Foreign Passport,Naturalisation, school/college leaving certificate applicant or parents and full version of birth certificate of applicant & marriage certificate, would suffice the need to become PIO earlier, before this merger. Can we not ease the rules for oci.

Very recently, I experienced better responses from Indian consulate in the country I am living in. They are picking up telephone and answering queries, which is a positive change I personally felt good to be in. However there is room for improvement, it starts with the way queuing systems are designed. old manual type appointment enrollment system shall be replaced with online system accessible from internet which will be helpful for those travelling quite a distance to visit nearest consulate.

I have sent several suggestions to Indian High commission. Never get any response. Recently i sent them a suggestion on how they can improve tourist inflow from Brunei to India. I had conducted a survey among some people in Brunei, based on its feedback i sent some suggestion. our Embassy or high commission should engage more with Indian people and try to improve exports from india and tourist inflow to india.

Foreign Service officers may be encouraged to give inputs for 'best practices' they have observed in different countries, in different fields of administration and public life.

In my opinion & keeping in line with make in India police , it's high time we should project our high commissioner at embassy as not political agent but finical agent. There performance be directly analysed from the amount of investment they have brought into India from the respective country they are posted. For example there was car company in Australia. Which closed its manufacturing in Australia as the cost of production was too high & relocated to Vietnam, could have also come to India

When we go any embassy in India for visa service, we stand in queue to wait for turn to come.
Shall any person from same country come to which embassy belong, they get preference to enter their embassy.
But when Indian want to Visit Indian enbassy in the country one lives in, he has to stay in queue along with other people who have come for seeking Visa. No preference given.

We don't get a feeling of entering our own embassy.
I believe this is needs to be rectified.
