In pursuance of Recommendation No. 67 of the DGsP/IGsP Conference, 2025, an initiative has been launched by Bureau of Police Research and Development under Ministry of Home Affairs in collaboration with MyGov to promote a secure, tourist-friendly environment across the top 50 tourist destinations in the country. To evaluate and foster this ecosystem, citizens are encouraged to participate in a comprehensive online survey titled “Policing in Tourist Destinations”.

This survey aims to capture authentic tourist experiences and perceptions regarding core policing aspects, including police visibility, tourist-friendly behavior, responsiveness to requests for assistance, and the overall sense of safety created by law enforcement presence. Ultimately, this data-driven assessment will help benchmark performance, recognize excellence among the police forces of the selected destinations, and further elevate the standards of tourist policing nationwide.
