Respected Prime Minister, I propose a National Science Contribution Scheme allowing taxpayers to voluntarily fund India's scientific progress and receive a dedicated tax credit under both the old and new tax regimes. A transparent government portal could let citizens choose research priorities— ISRO ,DRDO ,healthcare,energy etc—and track how their contributions are used. Unlike a deduction, a tax credit directly reduces tax liability, potentially encouraging wider participation. This scheme could mobilise additional research funding without a much increase in government spending. For citizens, it offers choice, transparency and pride in nation-building. For the Government, it creates an additional funding channel and strengthens public engagement with science. Scientific progress can unite Indians across political and ideological differences. I request the Government to consider a pilot scheme through the Ministry of Finance and relevant scientific institutions. Thank you
